Right! I've been going round & round with CS for a couple days with no suggestion from them, only more and more questions about symptoms that don't exist. Double tapping the BD/TV button solved my problem in a snap.

The model and serial number should be available on the back of the unit. If you're unable to find it, I might suggest calling the Samsung customer service center at 1-800-SAMSUNG for further assistance.
I experienced the same thing. On my HT-C6600 the sticker with the information was on the bottom (aka underside) of the unit and not where they are shown in the support site example.

If you go into the device settings, there is a network diagnostics test that you can run to find out more information. Ensure that the network your device is attempting to connect to supports DHCP -- or it will be unable to communicate once you plug in. If you are using the wireless dongle, ensure your passphrase (if required for your wireless network ) is correctly entered, and if it is -- to rule out the dongle itself, plug a network cable direct from your HTS device into your Network Access Point / Router. One other thing to note would be that some access points (especially cable modems) remember the device that was plugged into them. If you simply unplugged one device, like a game console or computer and put that directly into your HTS box, you will likely have to power off -- and back on the access point / router / cable modem with neither device plugged into it. then once the network gateway is powered back on, plug your HTS into it.

Question
Audio/Blu-Ray Playback
I have recently encountered a couple of issues with my home theater player: 1) When using it for surround sound directly from the TV, in constantly interrupts the picture coming from my TV. About every minute to two minutes, the screen will go black and then back to normal. When I turn the surround sound off, the TV continues with no interruptions. 2) When playing Blu-Rays or DVD’s, it will skip or freeze on a respective scene. This has been the case with either brand new or used disks. Please let me know if there is anything I can do on my end or if I need to send it in.

Thank you for contacting Samsung.
We recommend you try resetting your home theater to factory defaults.
Once that's complete, we recommend you check to make sure the unit has the latest firmware installed. Our research indicates the latest update was release on 10/4/2012. Download the firmware file and extract the contents to a blank USB flash drive. Please refer to the link below for the firmware file and an upgrade guide.

Wired or wireless would not matter. What matters is your isp providers speed. If your download speed is anything less than 3 mb per second this will cause the buffering. Also if your download speed is less than 10 mb per second it should stream without interuption, however it will not be in 1080 but at the most 720. Even tho you say you increased your speed to 5 mb it has to be a constant speed. I think generally depending weather its dsl or cable if you are on a shared network an other devices are active that can effect how much of the 5 mb your connection your streaming with actually gets.
I have version HTB-C6930WWB-1009.2, the online update says call support, Support says I need to manually do an update, and the site is flakey but eventually says no downloads available.
On your remote you will see a button on the second row in the middle (triangle with a line under it).
On the player same symbol located on the top edge to the right of the door.

Question
Network administrator cannot connect unit to internet
My unit will not connect to internet. I am connected to my wireless network, but unit cannot reach internet service. I obviously have connection, as all my other devices work fine. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't need any smart comments like "Did you connect to your network? Vague Question." I am connected to my network, but when I run the network test, I get "Internet-Not connected" Why? This has been a very frustrating experience so far, for someone with a great deal of technical experience.

Check your audio set up in the settings menu and trouble shoot from there.
Do I need the firmware upgrade posted in your download section, or does this unit automatically update online as I have it connected to my network.

Question
Is the ht-c6600 compatible with a 1080i/720p TV?
I just bought an HT-C6600 Samsung home theater system. I am tryingt to hook up the system with AT&T Uverse. I initially set up the Uverse box by HDMI cable to the HTS and then used another HDMI cable from the HTS to the TV. However, the screen came up with a pink fuzz without any picture. I then hooked up the Uverse box straight to the TV and used a separate optical wire from the box to the home theater. I also kept an HDMI cable from the home theater to the TV for blu rays. The picture and sound are great when watching regular TV. However, when I try to play a blu ray, the picture still does not come out, although I do get sound. I then hooked up a set of component wires from the home theater to the TV and try to play a blu ray. This time the blu ray played with sound, but it appears to be playing through the component cable as opposed to the HDMI.
I have tested the HDMI inputs on the TV and they appear to work. Does this mean that the HDMI output on the home theater system is damaged, or may there be another problem? For example, my TV has a 1080i/720p resolution. Do I need to have a 1080p TV? Any advise would be much appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a problem with getting your new system set up.
There are two sets of settings I would check:
The first one would be the output resolution of your cable box. You may want to check to make sure that it's set to 720p or 1080i, since that can affect the signal. This should effectively get rid of the pink screen that you described above.
The other setting I would recommend checking is the output resolution for the home theater system. You may want to initially switch it to 720p to see if that gets the picture through. From there, you can try a different resolution such as 1080i or 1080p.
If this still isn't able to work properly, what you can do is connect both the cable box and the home theater system to the television with the HDMI cables, and then route the audio through an optical cable from your cable box to the home theater system.
is it possible to connect more than two (say four) rear speakers with wire, and if so, how is this done?

It may be possible, however it is not recommended. Attempting to run more speakers than that which the amplifier was designed to run may put an unnecessary strain on the amplifier. This can result in early malfunctioning of the unit, since it wasn't designed to run additional speakers.
Why dont my rear speakers work all the time on my home theater model HT-C6600

Using your remote control, press the button labeled with the Dolby symbol, and PL II. This will change the sound settings on the blu-ray. You may have to repeatedly press until you find the setting you like. We usually keep it on "Matrix"

On the main menu go into settings. Go to the network and then into network settings. You will see network type :wire if you push enter. Make sure the wireless receiver is in place or it wont give you this option. It gets plugged in the back of the receiver. You also have a axillary in the front. You could also be out of range of the wireless router.

Actually, only thee speakers will work when watching TV, the Front and two small back. The rest is for the watching movies on the player. Also, try connecting a digital cable from the Blu-Ray player to the TV if there is a connection on the TV.
