Question

How do I get my BD8200 to stop turning on by itself?

This blue ray/speaker system is always turning itself on in the middle of the night, or the middle of the day... What causes this, and how can I get it to stop? We'd like it to turn on when we hit the power button, but not whenever it wants to.

Thank you for the response. However, even when I power off this way, the speaker bar turns on by itself. I have called support and they suggested either turning off the "Anynet" feature or re-initializing (rebooting) the device. Neither of these suggestions work. I am still woken up in the middle of the night by the system powering on. The TV doesn't turn on, but the speaker bar does, and it plays the Cable TV sound without the visuals. Am I going to need to send the unit back for a replacement?

Don't know why, but this works for me. If you power-off the unit using the: BD Receiver/Power, the unit will often go into the "Standby" mode ( Evident by by some light near the bottom of unit). If left in this mode, unit will turn-on in the middle of the night with the radio enabled.

To prevent - With both TV and HT-BD on, hit the "TV" button ( sometimes multuple times), followed by the Power button. This will turn both TV and HT-BD unit OFF.

Yes, you are going to have to send it in for repair ... ours had the same issue ... we sent it in 2 times before it was actually fixed and it was only fixed because after extensive research on the net, I found out the exact part that needed to be replaced and had to tell support which part they needed to service when they called me the 2nd time saying they "were not able to replicate my stated issue in the field". Tell them they have to replace the "Touch Key", obviously there were many units with faulty touch keys sent out. Make sure you find a big box, they don't send you packaging to send it back to them and this puppy's interesting to pack up! Really a pain ... I hope this info helps you and others though!

You should be able to buy any remote from any retail store and program it under the instructions given in their manual to your system to use.

Yes.

You will need to connect your television to one of the inputs on your home theater system using the optical or RCA cable from the television to the home theater system's audio input connections.

The new code will be generated once the old code was de-activated on the Netflix website and the Netflix App is launched on the Blu-ray player.

You might try the following instructions on the Samsung support page for Netflix activation and deactivation here:

http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

If you can't de-activate the player from the account, press and hold the FF>> button for 15 seconds until the unit resets to factory default settings.

If that still doesn't help, you may need to contact the Samsung support center at 800-SAMSUNG.

Lately, most of the time sound only is produced by the subwoofer, not the soundbar speakers. I have checked my cables, and all are OK.

Question

while watching a movie the screen goes black off and on throughout the movie. If we unplug the Blu-ray system and then plug it back in

it will stop doing it for awhile..then start to go black off and on again. This is the second Samsung Blu-ray Theater system that we have had problems with. We got it last Christmas and it sure would be nice if it would work good for this Christmas. Is there anything we can do to fix this problem. It happens with every movie we play Blu-ray or DVD...Please Help, Thanks,Kathy

I had a similar problem only It was when I turned the tv on it would be black with sound working, Had to turn it off and back on again to get a stable picture. Solution: I bought a new set of video/audio cables and have had no more problems, nothing wrong with the tv at all.

IF you have it enclosed in a cabinet it may be becoming over heated and the sound muffled! Also the dust build up from being enclosed can cause issues

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this problem with your Blu-ray player.

Until Netflix updates their app, it's possible that the queue will be the only available list of movies that you can watch or stream with the player. Several Blu-ray players have received an update from Netflix that allows them to stream all available streaming movies, however it's not known at the time of this posting if other models will be updated with Netflix's new software.

Try to enter your account name and password agian to connect. Also go into the que on computer download then transfer to product by connectivity points usually hdmi cords.

My 8200 will not play any blu-ray discs but will play regular DVDs. The apps are fine too. It's about a year old, this just started.

Question

Netflix is no longer working on my HT-BD8200. I know my network connection is OK, as Blockbuster works just fine. Is Netflix no longer supported?

Until a few weeks ago Netflix was working just fine. Now I get a "Cannot connect to your home network" message. But I know that my router is working the the devise can communicate with the router, because other streaming products work just fine. I am suspecting that Netflix is no longer supporting this Samsung devise.
