Question

Sometimes my HL67A750A1F will not turn off with either the remote or the main panel switch?

My HL67A750A1F Samsung has a problem that sometimes when I select to turn the TV off using the remote or the panel switch it stay on and whatever picture is on the display then just freezes. I then have to unplug the set and re plug it in to do a hard reset, Then I can turn the set off. I have also noticed that when the set enters this mode, then none of the functions on the remote will work, like menu, or source. Also, if I am watching my TV with an over the air antenna, and my audio is being piped to my stereo via the Optical output, when the TV goes into this mode...I get a very loud buzzing sound from the audio optical output from the TV. I have lived with this now for over two years and just need to know what needs to be replaced to correct this problem?

There is a white spot on the upper middle portion of the tv screen.

Is this normal on a 4 year TV?

Question

Set makes Noise!

When I turn on the set it makes a noise like a fan bearing is bad.
After a while (hour) it quiets down.
I don't get any "error messages". A web search said, color wheels can also be a problem.
Picture quality and set performance seem fine.
Should I run it until something fails or get service now?

Why is it ???

I truly dont understand. I have seen so many people having issues with their samsung dlp televisions and for some reason samsung wont even help with fixing them. I have a repair person coming to my house today to fix mine and it is going to cost me around $400. I have a family of 5, I dont have a job due to the lack of employment in our area and my husband is a fireman who works long hours for little money. I find it appalling that your multi million/ multi billion $ company cant help people with these issues. I have done alot of research on this and have seen tons of complaints about the same issue i am having with the white dots. I have read that it is a faulty chip and you pick and chose who to help. I'm done with Samsung. I will not purchase another Samsung product again. I dont know how many times i have contacted you about this issue and get nothing. I am attaching a video for you to see the dots we are having.

Question

My HL67A750A1F TV has a 3D function

What I would like to know is instead of using the HDMI/DVI to a computer as directed in the instruction book could I just buy a Samsung 3D DVD player and connect it via one of the hdmi connections to play 3D movies? I have never used the 3D function before.Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Error: "Check Fan No. 3" on DLP model HL-67A750A1F, what is the part number please

This unit is about 3.5 years old, so out of warranty. If I can work on the computers here at the house, I can certainly work on my TV. Please give me the part numbers for each of the 3 fans, identify them as #1, #2 and #3. Are there more than 3?
