This is considered dead pixels. The chip in the TV that produces the image has small mirrors (DLP rear projection) that join to create the TV image. The white dot is the misalignment of the image processor. If there are many than that is how many parts of the image processing unit are misaligned.

Question
My TV is not displaying an image
It keeps rebooting and all three lights on the front are flashing
The lamp used in a DLP TV has a limited lifespan. For the best screen quality it needs to be replaced periodically. Do not touch the bulb when replacing and make sure your hands are very clean!

We'd like to assist you, but we're going to need additional information so that we can better address your product concerns. We recommend you email us at qasupport@sea.samsung.com. Please provide a brief description of your product issue, as well as the full product model code, serial number and your contact info.
A couple of weeks ago my TV started just turning off. I printed the trouble shooting options but doesn't seem address the issues. Cooling fan is running and no blockage, the indicator LED's seem normal and the lamp was replaced just a few months ago.
I noticed there is a judgment on resistors but not my model. It seems to have the same problems as those in the judgement. I wouldn't expect to have problems with a TV just a few years old and am not excited about paying for service as time are tight.
Thank you for contacting Samsung. I realize that times are tight, and I'm very sorry for any inconvenience this may have given you. If you've followed the troubleshooting guidelines, then we're left to conclude that your device may need servicing unfortunately. Question
tv screen has white dots
we replaced the bulb about 2 weeks ago and for a week now starting with 2 and now 14 white dots on the screen. bright lighted dots. Anything we can do to fix this b4 the whole screen goes out?

Given the age of the television, you may wish to have it inspected by an authorized service technician to determine what the full extent of the issue may be and what it would cost to repair. For that, you'll need to file a service request.
This is a common problem with any newer TV. The image processing unit is comprised of millions of pixel generating "mirrors." The dots are when one of the units are not aligned or stuck. It can be costly to have repaired and may be less expensive to replace the unit as this is the main part of the TV.
