I bought 61 inches TV in 2006 and just now it started to turn itself off so manytime in an hour, How can I fix this problem? Model of my TV is HLS6187WX/XAA. Do I need a new power board, if yes where can I buy the power board for this TV?
When i turn on the set, the lamp light will blink for about a minute and a half before the TV shuts down on its own. Any idea why?
My DLP HL-S6187W set started making a high pitch whining noise - initially the video was normal. After about 30 seconds the noise stopped and the screen displayed a checkered board pattern with black lines and a yellowish green background. After about 10 seconds of this background the video display switched to a solid green background for about ten seconds before switching back to the checkered pattern. The display switched back and forth between these two patterns for about 2 minutes. Thereafter all audio and video was gone. Now, when i turn on the set, the lamp light will blink for about a minute and a half before the TV shuts down on its own. I replaced the lamp about 10 months ago; the blinking lamp light alone is not usually an indicator of a bad lamp. So I don't think the bulb is bad. Can you please give me advice how to resurrect my DLP?
I have white dots appearing on my screen causing the picture to be distorted. I see from several consumer web sites and blogs that this is common place with this type of Samsung TV, I want to know how I can get it fixed
How do I replace the DLP IC Chip in my HLS DLP TV?
I have white dots all over my television. After searching all over the internet I have narrowed down the problem to a faulty DLP chip which resides on the DMD board in my television. I downloaded the manual but found nothing about how to replace the chip. Does anyone know where I can find this information??
Does this tv have a digital tuner when connected to cable via the cable/antenna port.
When I disconnect the cable box and connect the coaxial cable to the TV all I can get are analog signals. Other TV sets I have will display both analog and digital stations when connected directly to the cable. Any Ideas??
For the past few days I noticed that the picture(no matter what channel or other source) has gotten extremely dark. Even on bright outdoor events or even white background the image is dark. I checked my settings and they are as originally set. Also; no adjustments that I attempted improve the picture quality!
