Was out of town working for several months, only to come home to my Samsung tv looking like the stars at night. I have been told these white spots are 'dead' pixels. Is this something that we can fix ourselves; not a service call?
Thank you for contacting Samsung. I'm very sorry for any inconvenience this may have given you. Unfortunately, this is not a user-serviceable problem. Please complete a service request here: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/request
After 3 1/2 years of ownership there is 3 bright spots (pixels) that have just shown up on the tv screen. There is a leaflet with the owner's manual that says that 1 or 2 bright or dark spots could show up on screen and that it is a manufacturing limit with the DMD. Is this type of thing covered under any warranties or is this something I have to keep covering up with specks of electrical tape so it's not as noticable?
