It was operating and then the picture just stuck and the unit turned off, and it will not come back on. I have unplugged the unit for about 5 minutes and when I plugged it back in and attempted to turn it on the "Lamp" flashed several times. I have changed the batteries in the remote and tried to turn it back on and it just flashes "Timer'. Suggestions?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this problem with your DLP television.

I might recommend re-seating the lamp, which is a technical term for pulling the lamp out and pushing it back in firmly, just as if you are replacing the lamp. In some cases, this can reconnect the lamp properly if the television was moved or bumped, and often times this fixes the issue.

I had trouble turning this model on with the remote a few times. It turned out that the last person to turn it off used the button on the front of the TV on the way out the door and it got stuck as it was pushed in. This caused the remote not to function because the button was slightly pushed in. We also had this problem when the CABLE button was pushed on the remote instead of the TV button. These 2 situations are both user problems LOL p.s. Make sure it's plugged in :)

We had that happen once. I'm not sure what caused the problem but I do know that if you unplug it, everything will reset and run just fine. I'm sure it will happen again some day but it hasn't happened for quite a while. Our unit is 5 years old so I'm expecting it to start having "issues". Good Luck!
