Looking for Answers about samsung HL-R5078W?

Good morning,

My HL-R5078 has been shutting down recently. Specifically, it will power on initially with a picture and now, within a minute or two, the screen will go black, the TV will shut off and the 'infamous' 3 lights will appear. I have never had the need to replace the bulb and I am wondering if this is the problem. The only reason I was asking about the ballast is because, as noted above, I initially do get a picture and then the TV goes black. Any suggestions?

I have a very loud hum coming from the back of the TV and the color is not displaying correctly.

This is the 2nd time this has happened in about a week. We turned the TV off and then
back on and it worked OK until just now, the screen went black and the 3 lights started blinking.
2 red and one green light

I replaced the Color wheel (shattered) and now have an extremely out of focus (fuzzy) image (but at least the colors are crisp), any thoughts or suggestions to address or look into (tripple checked and no smudges or finger prints on any lenses or mirrors)?

no picture, high pitch screeching sound when it is turned on now, lamp light is on on the power button on front, lamp doesn't show any signs of being burned out

Is this a simple fix or complicated. How to fix?

I replace the picture bulb already but it is still black and white

The menu will not allow changing the "Digital Output" from PCM when using the Optical Output on the rear of the TV even when the source is Dolby and connected via HDMI.

hl-r5078w lamp is on and bright, no unsual sounds, have powered off overnight and carried out a user reset off the service manual. the picture is flicking, all color are bright and the right color. it's kind of like a strobe light, and if you stare at it it looks like the strobing is spinning

Lamp and Standby/Temp lights are blinking. Color wheel and lamp have just been replaced.

If the problem would cost more to fix because it is 6 years old, then we may consider just getting a new TV.

My samsung HL-R5078W flickers for about a minute when i turn it on. After 60 seconds it goes away. Should i be concerned about this. It has done it for a while.
