Looking for Answers about samsung HL-P6163W?

I notice the lamp indicator light is not on any more.

There isn't any power indication on front panel of TV. Replaced color wheel late last fall & now another problem has come. Aren't your products suppose to last longer than 6 years?

The TV quit working and just flashed LAMP so we replaced the bulb. Now it tries to turn on, plays the start up tones, clicks and flashes LAMP then eventually shuts off and all 3 lights flash. Any idea what it could be?

I replaced the bulb and chassis with a new Philips factory bulb and chassis. Same symptoms. I bought a factory Samsung ballast and replaced that. Same symptoms. Is it the color wheel or the power supply or something else? Thanks for your help.

I have a samsung dlp hl-p6163w tv hooked up to my dvr. Problem is that I can not use the component cables off the dvr at al nor can I hook up the dvd player at the same time as the dvr. The screen starts going to black constantly for a few secs to minutes at a time. I have talked until i can't talk anymore to tech support adn finally they sent a tech out with a new dvr...same issues. Directv said it could be a bad motherboard not being able to handle both units pluged in at one time... Now direct says then it much be your motherboard on your tv. Does anyone else out there have any ideas? At one point I even posted video somewhere in the forums of what it does. Not sure where those are now...somewhere I guess. This tech pretty much told me to buy a new tv. It is frustrating that everyone else I know can burn dvds of non copyrighted shows except me. Thanks!!
