We recommend you uninstall Kies on your computer, reboot and then reinstall the software and try again. We also recommend you attempt the update when there's typically less traffic on the server.

Question

Google Play Newsstand and Search are not workjng

Ever since Google Play updated 'Magazines' to 'Newsstand' neither Newsstand nor the Search app have worked - both issue an immediate 'has stopped' message. Judging by chatter in Android forums and other places on the web this failure seems to have primarily affected Samsung products, especially the Tab 2. No amount of cache-clearing, installing, uninstalling seems to help. This has been going on for two weeks and people are unable to access content they have paid for. What is the fix?

Question

camera has stopped working

When i try to take pics on the camera, it tells me "unfortunately, camera has stopped working". So I can't take any pics, but I'm able to take videos. Whats up with that? The camera app, is the one that's is already installed on the tablet.

how do i stop this

my tablet while charging will charge with a red x on the battery and takes a whole day to charge. also when it dies it take 4 days (yes I have tested this) for it to even come on please help me with this,

The screen capture button was removed in the latest update. You can still perform this function two ways. Hold down the Power and Volume Up for a just a moment or refer to the following support article on how to grab a screen capture using the S Pen:

Why does my Galaxy Tab 2, 10.1 SE keep disconnecting from the internet?

I have a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Student Edition and am experiencing major problems with my internet connection. I have Verizon Fios wireless and the tablet will make an initial connection, then the screen will go black and take me back to the home screen.
I also have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 that is not experiencing any problems with the internet, so it is not my connection.

Question

will not power off after 4.2.2 update.

The android update to 4.2.2 will not allow my tablet to power off.
I have three email tickets in already.
Been reset, restored three times.
Still will not power off.
My tab 2 is the p5113 model.
When will a patch be released to address this issue.
I really would like to use 4.2.2 or higher but powering off is an essential function that is required.

I'm also having this problem. The tech I talked to informed me to,
plug it to charger when you see the battery logo it will turn off.

However that sometimes fails and you have to repeat the procedure.
Good luck.

Anyone knows when it will be fixed? ?

For those having the issue of your tablet not powering-off after upgrading to Android 4.2.2, the best work-around is as follows: Hold the power button down until you see the shut-down menu, and tap "RESTART." The tablet will re-boot. When the tablet boots up and displays the Lock Screen, hold down the power button and when the shut-down menu displays, tap "POWER OFF." The tablet should shut down normally - this works for most people who are having this issue. NOTE: When the tablet re-boots to the lock screen, Do Not swipe the screen and unlock it before attempting to power down! Apparently support is aware of the issue and a fix will be coming at some point...

Tech support acknowledged the power off issue.
I think the update should be suspended until it is fixed.
Also samsung should email all registerd users with the problems acknowledged and that it is being addressed.
This is affecting many users and we deserve to be communicated with.

Setting Clock

I understand how to set the clock, but the time zones are puzzling. If I sent it to Central Time GMT-5:00, the clock widget correctly shows 3:20 pm in the upper left corner, but 5:06 pm in the lower right corner. Why is this?

We recommend you log into Samsung Dive. If you configured the tablet correctly prior to the loss, you will be able to track it if it's powered on. Otherwise, there's not much else that can be done.

Unfortunately, we have no way to remotely access your device and power it off or remotely lock it. Should you eventually choose to invest in another Samsung tablet in the future, you have the ability to remotely connect to it, but these settings must be configured via Samsung Dive.
