Other than the quick start and registration insert and accessory insert included with the purchase is there any more documentation?

To delete an app, go to Apps, tap and hold an app you wish to get rid of and drag it to uninstall.

Question

Cannot Connect to Wi Fi

We have a secured network that I'm not able to connect to with my tablet. The tablet spends a couple minutes "obtaining ip address", then I get an error that says "Network disabled. Poor connection." Please note that it shows full signal strength the entire time. Further, I know Wi Fi is functional as I am connected to it on my laptop as I type this entry.

I was able to connect when I first turned on the tablet and set it up. Also, I've followed the steps to put in the password, then tried adding the network, then tried using a static ip address, then did the hard reset - none of them worked.

I'm at my wit's end and am on the verge of trading in this product for a different product. Please help!

Thank you for contacting Samsung. Your tablet doesn't have a phone number, as it does not have the appropriate technology to make it compatible with a cellular carrier. You may be referring to Skype or Google Voice. If so, please refer to the appropriate documentation from either of the app's developers. Thank you for being a Samsung customer!

Question

Changes in update 4.0..4

Just received update 4.0.4 and a few surprises! Tried to find out details about update but they do not seem to be available. After update and reboot; Yahoo news widget was missing on home page, still available in widgets. Now have some new apps; Next Issue, S Suggest.

Most notable was a new version of the Keyboard. Emoticons button missing- replaced with settings button; Video to text button missing, or just can not figure out how to restore it; replaced by larger clipboard button. Tab and Caps Lock button are no longer available. If another version of keyboard is available, can not find it.

Notification area now has keyboard icon, touching brings up settings for keyboard to select Voice to Text, no longer have Mic button to use. It does not appear that there is an update to the manual to explain the new/changed features and there does not appear to be any update to the manual.

Updates are nice but it would be very helpful to have details of update, information on apps and function changes without surprises.

Hey, I was getting frustrated about them taking away the voice to text stuff too! It turns out they didn't... They just sort of "hid" it. When you have the keyboard up look for that "gear" looking or settings button. Touch and hold it and the mike pops up and you can slide it to mike! Then you have your voice to text back! YAY! :# HTH! ~Wendy

PS: They must have updated the booklet too... I am reading the LG2_F4 version and it is in there on page 48 #or 53 of the pdf)...

Downloading Kies

I tried it thru Samsung website and I have tried to get thru it on my tablet. What am I doing wrong? On the tablet it continues to scan. And it says there is not device. I trying to download movies and have horrible trouble with it. Please Please help?!!!!

Kies is meant to be installed on your PC, not the tablet itself. It merely provides a means to transfer pictures, music or video onto the tablet.

Question

How do I disable the screen lock feature?

I activated the screen lock using the PATTERN Medium to high security
but now i want to turn it off and it only gives me 3 out of the 6 choices to choose from which is Pattern,Pin,Password the rest of them are lightly faded and under neath them it say's Disabled by administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage how can i enable all 6 choices?

Question

How do I sync S Calendar? How do I put app wallpaper on the lock screen?

I have a GT2 7.0 and a GT2 10.1. My work calendar is the same on both--it syncs from my email. But my personal entries are not on both. How do I make them identical copies of each other?

And then, how do I place a chosen wallpaper from an app on the locked screen? I can't find anywhere to choose something like "Send it to the lock screen!"

For the first, for the calendars to sync, you'll need to use Google calendar as the sync service; if you're using the local calendar, it cannot sync. For the second, follow this path: settings > Wallpaper > Lock screen. Thank you for being a Samsung customer!

Question

Why does the camera fail, especially outdoors?

When I try to use my camera outdoors, all I get for an image is a gray box. Sometimes, I immediately take it inside, and it works just fine. Then, back outdoors, it doesn't capture the image. Only works about 10% of the time. Also, it often freezes up and I have to restart several times.

Why does the Samsung Keyboard not work?

Hi, I've been having an issue with the Samsung keyboard on my tablet. I can open every program just fine, but the moment I try to type anything, the application crashes and closes, showing the, "Unfortunately, such and such a program has stopped" message. I tried other keyboards and they didn't work either. This is the second time it has happened. The last time this happened, the only way I could fix it was by doing the factory reset. I do not feel like resetting my tablet every two months. What can I do to fix this? I apologize for the poor quality of the video.

factory reset leads to other weird option

Hello,
When I followed the instructions on Samsung's site to do a factory reset,
I got into something called "ODIN Mode". Now it says "Downloading:
do not turn off target"
What is this and how do I get out of it without turning off the tablet?

Any help would be appreciated.

There are no compatible adapters manufactured by Samsung that would allow a physical connection, but depending on the model of your TV, you may the ability to share media via your wireless network to the TV via DLNA. If your TV supports DLNA, just look for DLNA apps on the Google Play store.
