Correction: October 24th is a Wednesday. Some additional digging indicates that Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular are expected to have the device by mid-November 2012.

By chance, do you have the white Student Edition?
I had the same problem yesterday. In fact, I discovered it when trying to troubleshoot why my Settings>Samsung Account>Device Backup wasn't working (after JB upgrade, before - no problem).

Then i discovered, here, my device wasn't registered. Didn't I register when I opened my Samsung account - and the model isn't even listed as an option on the site here!!!

why do I get grey pictures on my tablet?

I seen to clear data on gallery and did that then I was able to take 1 pic ok but all grey after that. I deleted several pics thinking it was full but no,
Also after clearing gallery I also forced stop and now I cannot find gallery in application settings to clear data again which is how I was able to take one pic ok

I'm making an assumption to answer your issue, but based on your writing and grammar it is difficult to understand exactly what you are asking, but it sounds like either you are only able to take a single picture at a time OR you are only able to take pictures that are greyscale.

1: If you are taking pictures at higher resolutions the file sizes will be very large. If you have only so much available space on your internal storage this could create an issue of limiting your ability to add more files or documents to the device. Check the free space available on your main internal storage. If you have not done so, try moving files to an external storage via the USB cord, or get yourself a few SD cards if you intend to take a lot of high resolution photos.

2. Check the settings on you camera and make sure you have not inadvertantly set it to take only greyscale images.

For further clarification, there is a Contacts app that will allow you to import contacts from Google, Skype and Microsoft Exchange accounts.

Thank you for contacting Samsung. Josh's recommendation below is accurate. Hold you power button for a very long time. Eventually, it should power off. Connect it up to a power source and charge it for a while and then try powering it back on. Thank you for being a Samsung customer!

Hold the power button for 30-45 sec.
This will cause the unit to powercycle and should resolve the issue.

If the issue persists try to find a common factor of when it happens.
If nothing else you may need to backup your data to an external source such as the cloud and perform a factory data reset.

Charging while turned on

I have two Galaxy tab 2 7.0's with the same problem. It seems that a few months back they both became unable to charge while turned on. I used to be able to plug the tabs in when the power got low, but now they both continue to discharge.

Did updating to JB 4.1 kills the Battery life?

GT-P3113 (Samsung Tab 2 7.0)
Recently updated to JB 4.1.1 and my battery life seems to be impaired (or my battery is just plain dying). I would lose 90% of my battery life with in 4hrs and the device is turned off during that time span. Wi-Fi is turned off background app is or running at minimal. So it is useless to fully charge the device to become unusable after 4 hours of non-usage.
Other Weirdness with my battery life:
1). At one point the device says it was 85% full. I turned off the device and ten minute later I turned the device back on and it was 2% full.
2). The device says 2% full, so I didn’t bother to charged it and wanted it to completely drain. I came back 8hrs later and the device says that it is 83% full (I did not charge it in that 8hr).
3) or I am using the device, and it says 85% full (it is not hooked up to the charger) and the battery charge percentage keeps going up and eventually hit 97% while I was surfing and what not (for 1-2 hour of usage). Then it would suddenly say it is now 3% and needs to be charged.

I have had the same problem since the upgrade. The charge bar is yellow istead of green now and I don't know if that means anything but it said at one point I was 100% charged and when I turn on my tablet it said I was at 2% and shut itself down. Now then the yellow bar doesn't say I am charged at all. Now it just will not turn on. At first I thought my charge cord was going bad and orderd a new one but now I definitely do not think so. This all happened gradually just like NuriNuri..

How do I change the language on the Samsung Apps?

When setting up my Samsung Apps account, I accidentally hit Indonesia instead of United States and can't find where to change it. The Tab 2 language is set on English. This issue is just with the Samsung Apps.

Open Settings, then Manage Applications. Clear cache and data for this app. Reboot the device, then relaunch that app, the app will behave as if it`s your first time using and you can set the language.

Question

tablet not charging

With the tablet turned off the charging indicator appears on the screen and the charging bar steps once to 1/4 steps again to 1/2 and then the screen goes blank. The screen will come on again and repeat this. This will repeat about every 7 seconds.

Does the Galaxy TAB 7 with Jelly Bean have a front facing camera?

Your online specs only mention the 3.0 mp rear camera. The ones I see in the stores have the necessary 2 cameras.

The Galaxy Note tablet that came out in August 2012 has front and rear cameras. This is most likely the model you've seen in stores.

My Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 won't "sleep"

I bought two Galaxy Tabs at the same time, both in factory sealed boxes. One, when we press the power button, starts running what appears to be a demo video for retail stores. It shows a video of various features of the Tab 2 #like a long commercial#. The other goes into a standard sleep mode. We don't have any settings that are different between the two. I have compared all the settings between the two, and everything looks identical. I want them both to go into a sleep mode when I press the power button. Right now, I have to power the first one off completely so it doesn't run the demo video.

Can anyone help me get rid of the demo setting on the one?

Have you tried tapping it instead of the slide motion. That's how mine toggles on/off. It seems the "slide" switches for certain apps and on some webpages are actually written as buttons in the programming language.

What accessories/cases/cables, etc. from the original Galaxy Tab 7 (or other Tabs) will work with the new Tab 2 (GT-P3113) 7 inch.?

I want to make sure a screen protectors, cases, cables, docks, etc. that I purchase will work with my new Tab 2. Anyone know what the differences are between this generation and the last one? And do any of the accessories for the larger Tabs work with the smaller ones?

I've look at the differences between the Galaxy Tab 7; 7.0 Plus and the 2,
the closet match between them is the Tab 7.0 Plus to the Tab 2. So when you purchase the screen protectors look for ones that fit the Tab 7.0 Plus. There is some difference, but not enough to worry about. Hope this helps.

If this is the case, apps can only stored on the internal memory only. The only thing that can be stored on the SD card is pictures, music & video files.

How to use Kies to sent Outlook contacts and schedult to Tab 2 (7.0)

Have downloaded Kies to PC twice, but it still won't give Outlook as an option to move Outlook contacts and calendar to the Galaxy Tab 2 GT-P3113. I tried to use the on-line chat but had no luck -- just said to reinstall Kies. How do I activate the Outlook feature?
