move apps to sd card

Has anyone figured out how to move apps to sd card. The option isn't offered when you go to applications in settings menu. Is there something I need to activate in order to do this or is this not permitted on this device?

Press the bottom right of the screen to bring up settings screen, then press the gear icon (settings), then scroll down to the very bottom under System, press the About device icon. In the screen that pops up press Status. Your Mac address is on the the items listed.

If you're referring to the cable (part #ECC1DP0UBEG), the USB end plugs into the outlet connector and as far as we know, you should be able to detach it without pressing anything. Just pull on the connector and it should come out."

Question:
No, I am not talking about the cable.
The charger is shipped in 2 pieces: the outlet connector (the part with the plug prongs) attaches to the charging head (that the usb plug connects into). How do you take those 2 pieces apart?

Navigation does not work without WIFI

Dear Samsung Team,
I bought this tablet in the states. I want to use it also to navigate.
What can I do to get it run. Always asking for free wifi, but it should also go without WIFI, am I right

When activated, the GPS feature will determine your physical location (longitude/latitude), but unlike a traditional GPS device where the map and route data is stored physically on the device, it will only work if there is an active connection to the Internet via wi-fi or mobile data network. So, you can calculate a route from a wi-fi cafe to a friend's home and use the GPS in the car, but if you deviate from your route, the device will not recalculate. The data it downloaded to get you from point A to point B is downloaded per use. We recommend you review the following troubleshooting guide for additional info.

Correction: October 24th is a Wednesday. Some additional digging indicates that Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular are expected to have the device by mid-November 2012.

why do I get grey pictures on my tablet?

I seen to clear data on gallery and did that then I was able to take 1 pic ok but all grey after that. I deleted several pics thinking it was full but no,
Also after clearing gallery I also forced stop and now I cannot find gallery in application settings to clear data again which is how I was able to take one pic ok

I'm making an assumption to answer your issue, but based on your writing and grammar it is difficult to understand exactly what you are asking, but it sounds like either you are only able to take a single picture at a time OR you are only able to take pictures that are greyscale.

1: If you are taking pictures at higher resolutions the file sizes will be very large. If you have only so much available space on your internal storage this could create an issue of limiting your ability to add more files or documents to the device. Check the free space available on your main internal storage. If you have not done so, try moving files to an external storage via the USB cord, or get yourself a few SD cards if you intend to take a lot of high resolution photos.

2. Check the settings on you camera and make sure you have not inadvertantly set it to take only greyscale images.

Hold the power button for 30-45 sec.
This will cause the unit to powercycle and should resolve the issue.

If the issue persists try to find a common factor of when it happens.
If nothing else you may need to backup your data to an external source such as the cloud and perform a factory data reset.

Charging while turned on

I have two Galaxy tab 2 7.0's with the same problem. It seems that a few months back they both became unable to charge while turned on. I used to be able to plug the tabs in when the power got low, but now they both continue to discharge.

How do I change the language on the Samsung Apps?

Open Settings, then Manage Applications. Clear cache and data for this app. Reboot the device, then relaunch that app, the app will behave as if it`s your first time using and you can set the language.

Question

My Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 won't "sleep"

I bought two Galaxy Tabs at the same time, both in factory sealed boxes. One, when we press the power button, starts running what appears to be a demo video for retail stores. It shows a video of various features of the Tab 2 #like a long commercial#. The other goes into a standard sleep mode. We don't have any settings that are different between the two. I have compared all the settings between the two, and everything looks identical. I want them both to go into a sleep mode when I press the power button. Right now, I have to power the first one off completely so it doesn't run the demo video.

Can anyone help me get rid of the demo setting on the one?

Have you tried tapping it instead of the slide motion. That's how mine toggles on/off. It seems the "slide" switches for certain apps and on some webpages are actually written as buttons in the programming language.

Question

Audio problems

I tried listening to music through head phones on my tab 2 and it would only play through 1 ear bud (the right one). I disconnected and replugged the headphones several times thinking it might be a loose connection, but still had the same problem. Both speakers seem to work fine. I used it on Pandora and downloaded music with the same results. Is there a setting or something that I'm missing that needs to be set?

We apologize for the delay in responding to your product concerns. Based on your description, it sounds like the earbuds could possibly be the issue. Have you tested them with another device? Do both earbuds work without issue when used with another device? Have you tested a second pair of earbuds/headphones with the tablet? If you don't have a second pair, perhaps you can borrow a pair from a family member or friend to better determine if your earbuds are indeed the issue.

You might also try a factory reset of the device. If you still encounter the sound issue after testing 2 pairs of headphones/earbuds following a factory reset, you have two options. If you have determined the issue is the earbuds included in the box with the device, we ask that you submit the following form and we'll have a new pair of earbuds shipped to you at no charge, as long as the device is still under warranty.

The only other option we could suggest is that you submit a service request, as the headphone jack may be bad. If you haven't yet registered your device, you will be prompted to do so before submitting the service request. Doing this will extend your tablet's 1-year parts/labor warranty for an additional 3 months at no additional cost as long as the product is still within the warranty period.

With mine out the box it came with a full charge, and I've noticed after charging over night, once you wake it up before you swipe to unlock its in small print right under the date and time that will say it is fully charged

Thanks for contacting Samsung. You can send yourself the PDF in an email. Also you can transfer the file via your computer to an external memory card and transfer it to your device that way, or store it on the memory card for use.
There is an application called Quick Office that is pre-installed on your device and will open the PDF file format.
