I set up email on the phone to sync with Outlook. One of the options is to also sync the calendar. I had to use the login/domain info from the webmail version of Outlook, not Exchange.

Question
Random Reboots during calls
I've been experiencing random reboots during any call over 10 minutes. I've noticed from the google boards this is not a problem unique to me, however it is very frustrating and has rendered my phone unusable as a phone. Is there a fix?

The Nexus S doesn't have a LED for this purpose. I use the free app "Easy Notify" which works BETTER than a LED, in my opinion. When you have missed a call, etc., it plays a sound every 5-10 minutes, and can be configured to be quiet at night. HTH, James.

The Samsung Nexus S does not have an LED indicator.
There is a proximity sensor/ambient light sensor on the upper left front of the phone.
Ambient Light Sensor - The ambient light sensor will report to the handset the amount of light that is near the sensor. The ambient light sensor is utilized for automatic backlight brightness.
Proximity Sensor - The proximity sensor allows the handset to perform certain functions based on objects detected near. This allows the handset to disable the touch screen while on a call to prevent unintentional activation of on screen options during a call.

To access a 3rd party voicemail system, I need to enter a password and would like to set it up as a one button dial.

It cannot be one button dial. But there is an option. While saving the number from dialpad, Click on menu and add wait and enter the extn. Now if you dial this, it will dial the destination number first and a pop up of extn will come. once the automated system request for pin, click ok in pop-up. You should get it worked

i purchased the nexus s on Dec 16th. I have a defective battery cover. Can you replace for me?
The battery cover will not seem to lock into place on the bottom right corner. My phone does not have a blemish nor does the back cover. Because i am outside 30 days i cannot get it replaced. I only want a battery cover. can you direct me to someone who can assist?

I dont think you will get the battery cover seperately. Because, it does have the NFC patch with it.

However, you may purchase the back cover on our website but currently we don't have available for the phone. Nexus s does support 3g. Ask for settings, then add manually. It should work

Hi. When I visited USA several days ago I bought Google Nexus S from Samsung. And I was very and very surprised that I can't input my real location information during product registration. If you suppose that your products could be bought only by American citizens please don't sell them to other country citizens because I absolutely disappointed by your registration form. Please let me know when it will be fixed to allow me to re-register it for Belarus location.

We apologize for the problems you have experienced while attempting to register online. However, registering your phone using the other country or the country from where you are right now won’t allow the registration process, because the city address is only designed for the main land of U.S.
The device has a voicemail notification that is duplicating the notification from Google Voice.

Thank you for your inquiry. Turning off the voicemail notification is something which is configured by the Service Provider by editing your account with them. This is not a setting which can be configured on the phone itself as it is part of the network services by your provider. To turn off the notification of your voicemail, we recommend contacting the Service Provider for assistance with this issue.

If your phone’s camera supports digital zoom, you can zoom in or out of a scene before taking a picture. Touch the onscreen Zoom icon 1X and then touch the amount of zoom you want or double-tap the screen to zoom all the way in or out. Pictures that you take with digital zoom may be smaller (in pixels) than the size you set with the Picture Size setting.
Note: If the zoom icon 1X doesn't appear on the camera mode screen, that means the phone's camera is not supported digital zoom.

The GPS on the phone will be applied on the "Car Home" application, this application works on your service provider's network tower. This issue can be solved by switching to USB Debugging mode and then turning off USB Debugging mode. Please follow the steps below.
From the Home screen: 1. Touch Menu. 2. Touch Settings. 3. Touch Applications. 4. Touch Development. 5. Touch USB debugging once to enabl (Green checkmark will be placed in box). 6. Touch USB debugging again to disable (Green checkmark will disappear).
