I've been cleaning with a soapy sponge. But then like you say the streaks are there. So I have been able to rid the streaks by using a glass cleaner on a paper towel. Works pretty well.

Question

Should the fan always be running when the oven is set to bake convection or roast convection?

The fan has always been in operation on all the ovens I have previously used when the ovens were set to convection. When my range is set to convection (roast or bake) the fan seldom runs. It will often cycle on for 15-30 seconds and then turn off for several minutes.

This is a true convection oven..The fan cycles off and on during cooking ,because it has its own heater coil within the fan. Forced air convection ovens heat by circulating the heated air from the top and bottom elements (on electric) and heat produced from the bottom burner(gas ovens). The fans run continuously on forced air convection ovens, if they didn't your food would burn on the bottom..

answer 2
The Convection Bake feature on the FX710 automatically reduces the set temperature by 25 degrees to help prevent overcooking. If you're pressing the non-convection Bake button and the temperature is being converted, your range may require service. Question

I have registered our new Samsung gas range. Where can I find proof that we have the additional three months on our warranty?

When I registered the range, I saw on the website that we would get an additional three months on the usual twelve-month warranty. Now my husband wants to print out proof of that extended warranty to keep with our paperwork, but I can't find it. I trust Samsung to honor this extra three months, but I would like to have written proof. Just in case.

i have tested wc pressure and then checked if there was any drop if all burners and stove was on. i use natural gas and 1/2 line allows the range to perform without any starvation to any burners or oven. i would have to say that if you were running propane then i would definitely opted for 3/4 in. i'm a hvac tech and know the conditions of lp gas.

Question

On the FX710BGS how often should the convection fan run when convection selected?

The fan does not seem to run very often when convection is selected. When the preheat temp is reached the fan comes on for maybe 20 seconds then stops. Other ovens with this feature that I have had .. the convection fan runs almost constantly.

The line required is at least 1/2 inch with a shutoff. The flexible connector recommended is 60" long and 5/8 inch OD. The line I installed comes up from the floor about seven inches from the left to clear the left side of the unit. The valve should be no more than 3 1/2 inches from the wall and facing the right works well. I would like to see the spec sheet included with this unit posted on this page or in the specs listed. By the way this unit recommends an outlet 120 volts and a 12 amp max draw.

The actual gas valve is located on the back of the range, on the lower left side (facing the range). It's important to have the range and the lines installed by a qualified gas installer to ensure it is done properly and meets both local and national codes.

Question

Am I to understand that the dual (RF) burner burns 2 rings on high, and 1 ring (the inner) on low?

Mine burns both on high and low. I used the LP Conversion. It would have been nice if Samsung provided a 7mm wrench. If you would be unlucky to attempt to use any other tool, you would strip the brass orifice and have a hard time replacing the the orifice. And the instructions could use more detail in dissassembly to get to the orifices in the oven. Hit me back if you need a technical writer. English, Chinese & Japanese.

Both the inner and outer ring on the right front dual burner of the FX710BGS operate at all times when that burner is used in order to provide full coverage to the bottom of the pan. We appreciate the feedback and suggestions regarding the wrench and manual, and I'll be sure to pass your comments along to the appropriate team.

I'll be happy to share your comment with the appropriate team, but I can tell you that choosing a discreet, but accessible, location are important factors in determining the location of the serial number. It's also important to place it where it won't be damaged by heat from the oven or cooktop.

Question

IS THERE A DIFFERENCE IN HOW THE OVEN FUNCTIONS WHEN USING Convection Bake versus Convection Roast?

To roast a 2.5 pound pork roast, we set the roasting temp to 350 degrees according to the ROASTING TIME CHART in the User Manual for the FREE-STANDING GAS RANGE, Model FX710BGS. Also, according to the manual(quick start guide), I expected the temperature to automatically decrees by 25 degrees. It did not. I also noticed that for CONVECTION BAKE there is a 'Convection Auto Conversion Feature'. However, I do not see one for Conversion Roast.

Thanks for the question. If the control panel is reading 25 degrees lower than the temperature you've programmed in, you may be selecting the Convection Bake setting. It's normal for the temperature to convert automatically when Convection Bake is selected to help prevent the items you're baking from cooking too fast. If you'd like to use the Convection feature at the higher temperature, you can either add 25 degrees when inputting the temperature, or select Convection Roast instead.
