Depends on what your amp has connections for, but if it has an optical in port, you would need to purchase a TOSLINK digital audio optical cable.

fx2490hd

i can adjust the image to the full size of the screen after plug hdmi cable.
with normal monitor cable the image is better and full size.
the menu for adjust the screen is dimmed after install hdmi.

Question

When I drag windows to the monitor they turn silver and become unuseable. SnycMaster FX2490HD

I just purchased a SnycMaster FX2490HD which I have hooked up to a MacbookPro via VGA cable. Some apps work fine or flash silver for a second while others do not fix themselves. I have not had this problem with any other monitors I have used with the same laptop.

Question

I have two questions about my new FX2490HD LED monitor TV. Love the monitor and the way it looks/performs! Very sweet.

#1 - I bought my monitor as a store model and it didn't come with the back coverage panel. Can that be ordered?
#2 - I can't seem to get a screensaver/power saving option to work with my PC and the monitor. It is attached with the hmdi cord and has a flat style antennae attached. Could there be a setting that is not allowing it to power down?

Can you still hook up an external tv tuner to the monitor?

i am thinking of getting this product but i need to connect it to a external tuner because i do not have an hdtv signal. I use a dish network 480i tuner if you this helps any.
