The cook tops on Samsung electric ranges have been internally tested to support loads of up to 70 pounds and run continuously at maximum heat levels for extended periods of time. Samsung does not guarantee fitness of the product for any specific purpose, however, it is our understanding that the load, heat and time parameters of general non-commercial canning would fall into those performed in our tests. Please understand that this statement does not imply that the referenced cook top could be used for commercial use, as operation of the product in a commercial manner may void the warranty.

I can't tell you whether a particular brand or style of canner is acceptable, so would suggest you contact the canner manufacturer to determine its appropriateness for use on a ceramic cook top.

Thanks for the question. Samsung does not recommend using foil or liners on the bottom of the oven, even during normal use, because it may adhere to and damage the surface.

The actual product dimensions of the FTQ353IWUX are 29-29/32" wide by 47-1/16" high by 25-31/32" deep. The installation opening should be 30" wide, and there should be at least 30" between the cooktop (36" high) and the bottom of the cabinet above the range. For more information, please refer to the installation manual that comes packaged with the new range.

If you're using the Convection Bake setting, it's normal for the temperature to convert automatically based on the standard 25-degree convection conversion. If you set it for 350°F but press Convection Bake, the temperature should convert automatically to 325°F. However, if you aren't using the Convection Bake setting and it's off by 25°F, you can use the thermostat adjustment instructions on page 35 to adjust the oven by up to ±35°F.

We believe the manual is indicating that the oven/range should not be powered on in any way. If you'd prefer to cut power to the oven from the electrical box, that is up to you.

The bearings and glides are the parts on the side of the drawer that allow it to slide back and forth, just like any other drawer that has metal parts.

There is no specific time estimate for the oven to preheat, particularly since the amount of time would depend in large part on the starting temperature and the selected setting. However, keep in mind that while Samsung ranges are equipped with powerful bake and broiler elements, the ovens are also large-capacity at 5.9 cubic feet.
