Customer questions and answers for samsung Hybrid Induction Gas Range

Question

The digital display and sensors are not lined up with Touch Control panel Symbols.

None of the sensors or indications are located appropriately by their symbol. You press all around the symbol until you find the sensor and most times it takes too long and you have to start over. Likewise, the indications for the heat are not next to the burner selection but rather above and to the left. The Power On/Off and Lock indicator light are above and to the left of the symbol as well. Can this is fixed?

We were told by our installer that the range can not sit flush to the wall b/c the range goes straight up in back without indent for plug

is there a way to get the stove to sit up flush to the wall instead of sticking a few inches out?

The best way to accomplish this is to have a licensed electrician hardwire the range to the power supply. Since this method would not require a plug, the range would be able to sit closer to the wall.

Another option would be to plug the range into a 220V outlet located somewhere other than immediately behind the range.

Thanks for the question!

It's a shaped spacer on the back side of the range that prevents installation close to the wall for proper venting purposes.

The range is 220. The installation manual says: "You must use a 3-wire, single-phase A.C. 208Y/120 Volt or 240/120 Volt, 60 hertz electrical system. A range cord rated at 40 amps with 125/250 minimum volt range is required. A 50 amp range cord is not recommended but if used, it shoud be marked for use with nominal 1 3/8" diameter connection openings."

Specified rating of power-supply-cord-kit, amperes: 40 or 50A.

I'm sorry to hear sauce has spilled between the layers of glass in the oven door. The door would need to be disassembled to clean between the panes of glass, though Samsung does not recommend doing this yourself. I would suggest having your range serviced by a trained professional to avoid damage to the door and injury to yourself. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Good luck. You have to take the door off the oven and then take apart. When you do take it apart, make sure that you do not take the screws out around the hinge. The only screws you take out are the ones on the top.

Thank you for the question. Samsung recommends using ceramic cooktop cleaner, such as the kind that came with the range, to clean the cooktop most effectively. However, if you prefer to use soap and water or Windex, that should be fine as well. In considering which products are safe to use, it's important to avoid using any kind of abrasive that could scratch the smooth surface.

Wiping the surface after it has cooled with a clean wet cloth is okay. Any burned on areas should be cleaned with the recommended cleaners and tools. Using other cleaning products may damage the surface. Be careful.

Thanks for the question. It's normal for the rails to tilt slightly up and down to enable them to be pulled in and out. Making sure your oven is properly leveled can help to prevent them from tilting downward too much.

Only normal to those who haven't leveled the height of the range from front to back and side to side.

You will need to get a construction level and adjust the height of the feet on the front of the range. This is easily done by turning the feet to the left or right.

I'm very sorry to hear you're having this issue. Samsung does not recommend lining the oven with foil because it can interfere with the air flow and can potentially adhere to and damage the oven cavity. This is actually cautioned against in the user manual. If you are unable to remove the foil, it may be necessary to replace the bottom panel. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit your contact information to our support team through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue with your FTQ307 range. "SE" is the key short error code which can have different causes, and may require service if it continues to occur. If this code seems to be appearing only when you wipe the range down, then try using the Child Lock feature to prevent the buttons from being pressed when you wipe them. If this does not resolve the issue, and the code keeps returning even after cycling the power by switching the circuit breaker, then it will likely require service to properly diagnose and correct the issue. Please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

We use the child lock to prevent the Se message, hold down for 3 to 4 seconds until it lights. Then do the wiping and cleaning.
You reset the Se by touching On/Off control right next to the child lock symbol.
Se will show up if you boil something over or you leave a damp cloth there on a burner pad for 8 to 10 seconds

Thank you for the question. Aluminum cookware is not appropriate for use with your induction range, which requires magnetic surfaces on the bottoms of the cookware in order to function. Please refer to page 25 of the user manual for a list of suitable cookware materials. In addition, Samsung does not recommend using induction pads for several reasons. Use of these pads can result in overheating of the cooking surface and induction elements which can cause damage, and they also reduce the efficiency of induction cooking.
