Thanks for the question. The FE-R300SW range is rated for a 240V/60 Hz/40-amp connection, and doesn't come with the cord because the type of cord needed can vary based on a home's wiring as well as local building codes.

For detailed information about selecting an appropriate cord kit and installing the range, please refer to the article on this topic or download a pdf file of the Installation Guide from the following links:

Installation article: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

Installation Guide: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/c...

It's also important to note that Samsung recommends having the range and your home's wiring installed by qualified technician.

Question

NE595 ROAB Range

My new range makes a ticking sound when preheating the oven, and sometimes also during the baking itself. It`s a pretty loud click, seems to be a relay or something in the electrical panel. Is this normal? Also, the convection fan works during preheat even if I choose the bake option (without convection). Is this normal?
Thank you.

Thank you for contacting Samsung. I verified with the product specialist that the behavior you're experiencing is normal. That loud click is a relay, and the pre-heat uses the convention fans to warm up the air in the oven so that the food bakes more evenly. Thank you for being a Samsung customer!

Thank you for your question. However, since there is conflict between your expectations for the product's appearance based upon your in-store experience and the delivered product, it appears that it would better to address your question to the retailer that sold you the electric range.

Thanks for the question. The FE-R300SX range is rated for 240V/60 Hz and 40 amps, and can be connected using a UL approved 40 or 50 amp cord. Whether you use a 3 or 4-wire cord may depend on your home's wiring and local building codes. Samsung recommends having a licensed electrician complete the installation. Please refer to the attached link, as well as to the installation guide that comes with the range, for more information: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue with your FE-R300SB range. Please make sure the range is connected to a working 240V/60 Hz/40-amp power supply, and the Control Lockout is not engaged. You can refer to page 29 in the user manual for instructions on locking/unlocking the controls.

If this does not resolve the issue, please submit your contact information to our support team through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

I'm sorry to hear your range is scratched. Unfortunately, there's no easy solution for removing scratches from stainless steel, especially if the scratch is deep enough to change the contour of the surface. If the cooktop surface is scratched I would suggest reviewing instructions in the user manual for cleaning the cooktop, including removing marks from certain pans that may look like scratches. If this doesn't help, and you wish to consider replacing the scratched part, please visit SamsungParts.com or call 800-627-4368 for information and availability.

Question

should a samsung oven cook at the temp it is set at?

i bought my house new so my appliances were brand new when i bought it. my oven doesnt cook at the tem it is suppose too. example: if i have to cook something on 375 degrees for 20 mins i usually hae to cook it for atleast 45 mins to get it done. the builder i bought my house from had someone come out there and look at it. the gentleman that looked at it said that the manufacturer has the over st to cook 35 degrees less then what we set it at. Example if we set the over at 375 degrees they are saying that it will only cook at 340 degrees. Should this be the way My oven works?

Thanks for the question. It is common within the industry for there to be a variance of up to ±25°F between the set temperature and the actual oven temperature, based on a number of factors; Samsung ranges are actually designed to have even less of a variance (±10°F to 20°F). If you determine that your FE-R300SB is running either too hot or too cool, you can adjust the thermostat yourself by up to ±35°F by following the instructions on page 28 of your user manual, which can be downloaded as a pdf file from this website.

If your range is taking 45 minutes to cook what should take only 20 minutes, it is likely that an adjustment is necessary. If you determine that your oven's temperature is varying from the set temperature by more than ±35°F, I would suggest contacting Samsung for service to make the necessary repairs or adjustments. To initiate the service process, please submit your contact information through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Thanks for the question. The cooktops on Samsung electric ranges have been internally tested to support loads of up to 70 pounds and run continuously at maximum heat levels for extended periods of time. Samsung does not guarantee fitness of the product for any specific purpose, however, and please understand that this statement does not imply that the referenced cooktop could be used for commercial use, as operation of the product in a commercial manner may void the warranty.

FINALLY! A product that makes me actually like my new range!

Try Scrubbing Bubbles "Extend-a-Clean ACTIVE SCRUB cream cleaners." It works WONDERS inside and out on my range. It took the grime right off the inside oven window.

The stuff is AMAZING! 24 oz bottle costs about $4. I pour about 2T on the cooktop every night and voila! Clean!

No more scraping down the cooktop with a razor or scrubbing endlessly to get burned on goo off the top. It cleans the inside glass and door, too.
