For some reason they are in the dark when it comes to any questions like that. Your best bet is to search different forums like xda. Those guys are good. But from what im told it supports externally powered devices and only certain types of formatted thumb drives. I.e. Fat 32 or something. I dont remember. Right now i am on a quest to find all supported devices and accesssory types. I figure if we know the types then we can just match the different accessories. I hope i helped.

No. You have to use their adaptor. Then you can connect. You cant connect to the physical device. Itll cost you but you will be able to connect.

Does the EPL-1PL0BEG Galaxy Tab 10.1 Adapter (USB) provide a powered USB port when connected to a Galaxy Tab?

In case this varies across different models of Galaxy Tabs, I have a GT-P7510. Further, just to be clear, I am not concerned that this will drain the Galaxy Tab's battery faster, instead I am hoping that I can use the USB adapter to share the Galaxy Tab's power with other devices while in transit.

yes it does.When inserting a wireless mouse it operates as designed. Also it discharges the battery real quick.

Plug your USB connector from the Tab into the USB port on your PC. Using the file application on the PC copy the director or the pictures in that directory to your PC.

Use your email application and or use your wireless connection to other devices/computers. Plus use the same type or memory card that the Tab will use. In this case a Micro SD card does the trick.

Well it just don't have one. I have tried to register Samsung products without the ser# and no one seems to know what to do about it. Maybe if we hang around here we might find out.

PS I have tried many combinations of numbers on the box to no avail.

How exactly to you permanently transfer files from a flash drive to the tablet?

I don't know anything about Android and my work supplied tablet (not my choice) had no user manual in the box. I have 6 jpegs and 1 pdf file on a flash drive. I stuck the drive in the USB adapter, then stuck that in the tablet. The Gallery saw an album with the jpegs; by digging around Quick Office, I found the pdf. I removed the USB adaptor & flash drive, and shut down the tablet. When I turned the tablet back on, the 7 files were no longer found. I need to get them on the tablet permanently. How exactly do I do that?
