Question

3.5mm audio jack not working

Phone software version is 2.2.1, so the audio out 3.5mm jack should be working. However, when I plug in a transmitter, headset, or even earphones, the sound still comes out of the phone's speakers. When removing from the dock, the sound comes through the plugged in equipment (as long as it's plugged in to the 3.5mm jack on the phone itself.)

When the dock home screen comes up, try clicking on the speaker icon to "mute" the sound. Then test sound from the audio out.

cant play music though aux out on vehicle dock (t959 vibrant)

checked diplay settings tv out off will play though phone jack (3.5mm) on phone but not the aux jack on back of the vehicle dock why? please help!

Thank you for your correspondence.

Regarding your concern, you may download on the Samsung Vibrant™ Android Smartphone (SGH-T959) the new Samsung application that has been released on the Android market will support car dock, which is the Samsung Dock.

To install the GPS Restore application:
1. Open the Android Market.
2. In the search box, type “Samsung Dock” and tap the search icon.
3. Select the Samsung Dock application.
4. Select Install and then OK.

It works! However, I never would have done it without the Samsung technician. Here are the steps:
1. Uninstall the Car Home app. Download the Car Home For Samsung Vibrant 2 (or whatever your Galaxy flavor is). Make sure that in the description it says something along the lines of "this version was upgraded to work with Froyo 2.2"
2. Set the USB to either "Mass Storage" or "Media Player" (Settings / Applications / USB Settings / Mass Storage or Media Player), it works either way. I personally left it in "Mass Storage".
3. Plug the phone to the dock, and the Car Home app comes up. You'll see the Samsung default Music Player icon in the screen. THIS IS KEY!!! Before you click the Music Player icon, in the screen you'll see an icon that resembles a speaker with waves coming from both sides. Thats the toggle between the phone's speaker and the line out, so make sure IT IS CROSSED OUT! Click on the Music Player, and play some music.
4. Enjoy!

3.5mm jack not working even after froyo 2.2 update from minikies

When can we expect to have this fixed as I had waitied until after the 2.2 update to puchase this item just for this known issue.

Question

I purchased and received the vehicle navigation mount

I opened my dust cover on the phone, put it in the dock and when I slide the upper half of the charger
down so that the phone can charge. The dock will not plug into the phone. It is like it does not line up properly. Am I doing something wrong??

Question

Dock disables Bluetooth headset

My car has Bluetooth speakerphone capability, and my T959 (Vibrant) is paired/connected with it. However, when my phone is in the car dock and I receive a call, the phone uses it's built-in speaker instead of using the Bluetooth (which is still connected). How can I disable this behavior? My other option is to return this dock and get a generic one.

Can I order a replacement suction mount for my car kit?

I have a car kit for the Fascinate (I500) and the suction cup lever broke. Can I but a new suction cup arm for this kit?
