I just got a Galaxy Tab and I love it. I'm developing applications for it, which require the USB cable to be plugged directly into the computer. Unfortunately, even at low power settings, the 500mA that the computer outputs is not enough to keep the device from draining, let alone keep it at its current level. This requires that I plug the wall adapter in, but that means I have to disconnect the USB from the computer, making development testing impossible. The Tab has a long running life but I spend quite a bit of time (>8 hours) with the Wifi, Bluetooth, and GPS on, and the battery drains too fast. Is there an accessory that combines (or splits off) one USB plug for the wall charger and one to run to the computer?

Charging the battery of the Galaxy Tab into the output of the computer will not be enough to keep the tab from draining if you are using the tablet as well because the battery is only using partial of the power from the power supply of the computer. Unlike charging the battery using the USB cable with adapter into the wall plug, the battery will get the full electricity.

Regarding your concern, as of the moment, compatible accessory or USB data cable that combines or split off one USB plug for the wall charger and one to run to the computer for the Samsung Galaxy Tab is not available for purchase at this time nor is there an estimated date of when it will be in stock. You cannot use the cord that came with the Note 10.1. If you purchase the adapter you can transfer your picture directly from your camera to your tablet.

I use the Kies software to Sync with my PC using the tablet cable and while I'm connected it does charge my tablet although it is only a trickle charge. If you turn off your tablet while connected it will charge normally.

Why is it not working?

Just bought it and connected to my desktop but cant transfer anything to the device. it wont allow me to create a folder nor would it transfer files using windows media player. It just say "mtp device connect" but does nothing more then that

Display issue with wallpaper sizes

No matter what size photo I want to use as the wallpaper/ homescreen (I've tried both larger and smaller sizes/ resolution than the 1280x800# - the display keeps enlarging the picture to a certain size #too big for the screen!# and it's now grainy because the tablet stretched it out.

How do I control this so I can put any pic of any size #especially smaller) and it stays that way?
