Looking for Answers about samsung DVD-VR330?

When I start the playback of a tape a one line display appears at the top of the screen. It shows that a tape is being played, a right arrow, the tape speed , and AV2 on the left side of the informational line. After a few seconds the informational line disappears.

How setup the vcr so that this display doesn't appear. I am trying to edit the tape on my PC and don't want this line on my project.

I have always been able to record on DVD's, but I bought new ones and the recorder won't read them. What can I do? I love this DVD recorder and want to continue to use it, but I can't if I can't get the new DVD's to work.

I'm using the DVD-VR330 as a source for playing a VHS tape or DVD, using OUT-1 to send the video to a another DVD-Recorder or PC. Is it possible to turn off the information displays (ie. blue bar with the play arrow or the white tracking image played at the bottom of the screen)?

I believe that it has copied but it will not play. I cannot figure out when it asks me a title.

I've initialized the DVD+R disk in the unit, but when I try to copy the tape, after a few seconds when it displays 'Copy' in the front display of the unit, it tells me 'Updating information on the disk' (or something similar), and then stops, with no indication of what the problem might be.

can not format disc. (dvd-rw or dvd+rw) tried about 10 dics. advised error detected

I am concerned that this dvd-vr330 unit is not working properly. I have not used the dvd record feature very much mostly have played our old vcr tapes. now i have time to transfer vcr tapes to dvd. machine gives error message "disc cannot be played. check disc." i bought 10 new dvd's and still have same problem. any suggestions? any firmware upgrades?

I own a DVD combo recording unit VR330 and the performance on recording is poor. Is there a firmware update for the unit?? I just purchased a VR375 and the unit is better than the VR330. Can the Firmware for the VR375 be used on the VR330?? How do I load the firmware update?? Download to CD?? Run the CD in the Unit???

I have tried different disks. DVD-RW 1X & 2X up to 4X. The only disks that I can format and write to is the 1X & 2X.
