Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to run Blu Ray on Samsung DVD-HD850. It requires a different wavelength to read Blu Ray (Blue Laser Diode). Since this is a DVD player to read certain types of DVDs only, you can't do anything. Hope this helps!

Typically one needs a 'Tuner' hardware to recieve "over the air" or in abriviated form OTA signal. You will see such a 'Tuner' input available with a TV, Satellite Dish Reciver, the VCR from old times/days, stand-alone tuners, etc. and that's the place where you connect the OTA antenna. Since the start of HD signal transmission, you also need to see that your TV has appropriate Digital Tuner input to receive the Digital/HD OTA signal. If you have old tv with analog tuner, you will need a stand-alone tuner and AV connection to hook up the non-digital tuner TV. Hope this helps!
