How do I update the firmware?

your web site says it is supposed to be a .zip file, but all you have is a .bin file, that the machine does not recognize. So, where do I find the firmware update?

Frequent Video dropout

I have a Samsung 550 LCD TV as well. My DVD-H1080 manual tells me to use P-Scan when using the HDMI output but the TV refuses to sync to it. Setting the HDMI output to Auto, 1080i or any other setting I still get frequent video dropouts.

"This disc cannot be played" error

I have been using "DVD-H1080" for past two years stress free until one day out of blue, every single DVD/CD began refusing to play anything with "This disc cannot be played. Check disc" error. It happens even to types of DVD/CD that used to play normal. Same happened when trying to bin filed burned into CD-Rom in my pursuit to upgrade the firmware. Pressing/holding 'reset' buttom on bottom of the player has not shown any progress. Please help.

If I play a video with subtitles from a USB memory stick, will I be able to see the subtitles?

I have a Samsung LCD that allows me to do this. So I know the subtitle file has to have exactly the same description as the video file, with .srt added.

Your online instructions say to download the firmware, which is supposed to be a .zip file. But, the file downloaded is a BIN file, and the player doesn't recognize this as anything. So, how do I update?
