Thanks for the question. Different dryer models have different lighting configurations. In many cases, the lights flashing indicate the cycle is paused. If your dryer is running properly, then there should be no reason for concern. If you pressed the Start/Pause button and the cycle does not start, make sure the door is closed completely and an appropriate cycle is selected. For further assistance, please submit your contact information to our support team through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

There are a couple of possible causes of the dryer squeaking. With a new dryer, consider the possibility that there are loose connections in the vent duct which could cause squeaking from the metal rubbing together at the joints. The duct joints should be taped securely to prevent the hot moist air from leaking out into your laundry room.

If the squeaking is not caused by the vent ducts, click here for troubleshooting related to the dryer belt: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

This article includes a link to request additional assistance if you are unable to resolve the issue yourself.

Make sure that the machine is level on the floor. If it is uneven any movement could cause the vent to squeak from the rear. If you are using solid metal vent pipe. If using the flexible vent hose then it just might not be that. It's worth the check the vent hose anyway..

Thanks for the question. If the dryer is set up properly - meaning the water is connected and turned on and the dryness level is set to Normal, More Dry or Very Dry - then it's perfectly normal for the clothes to be dry when removed after the Steam cycle. It is also not unusual for the steam to not be visible through the door, though some moisture may be visible. The Steam cycles should last for approximately 15 to 20 minutes. For more information on the estimated length of different cycles, please refer to the Cycle Chart in the back of the User Manual.

Thanks for the question. If your dryer appears to be functioning properly and drying your clothes based on the settings you've selected, then the light sequences you're seeing are likely normal. If an error occurs, you should be alerted by a code displayed in the window, rather than by the Cooling or Drying lights. If your dryer does not appear to be functioning properly, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you further.

Thanks for the question. The DV5451AEW/XAA is categorized as a "top loader" because its matching washer is actually a top loader. While most dryers do load through a door in the front, they are categorized based on the washer they match.

Question

Sensor Dry issues

Any program that uses Sensor Dry seem to have a problem. Basically the machine shuts off within 2-3 minutes after start. NO error code, just switches from drying to cooling 2-3 mins after it starts.
The heat is there, i can feel the drum warm. If I use the time cycle(no sensor) it runs no problem. Nothing blocking or stock to the sensor. Please advise.

I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your DV5451. If the dryer is shutting off early, please check the lint filter and vent ducts to make sure there is no blockage preventing the air from circulating and exhausting outside. Additional troubleshooting is available through this link: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

If these suggestions don't help to resolve the issue, please use the link provided at the bottom of the article to request service so a technician can help to determine the cause and fix it.
