There are currently two models of Samsung pedestals that are compatible with the DV431AEP dryer: WE357A7P and WE357A0P. The latter has a new "Quick Install" system to make mounting the washer or dryer on top of the pedestal easier, though the pedestals themselves are the same.

Thank you for the question. The only cycle that allows the full range of temperature settings is the Time Dry Manual cycle. The Cycle Chart on page 37 of the DV431 user manual shows which settings and options are available for each cycle. This chart is specific to the DV431 so is most accurate for your model.

we arent using the dryer bar since its has steam and it have the settings to get rid of wrinkles.

what i have noticed is that if u dont take the clothes out of the dryer when they are done they will continue to refresh until you either turn the dryer off or open the door.

Thanks for the question. The DV431 does not have a door lock mechanism like the washer does. You can open the door at any time and the dryer should stop automatically. The dryer does have a Child Lock for the control panel, however, to help prevent children from playing with the settings.

The lights on the dryer may have different patterns for different models, but if your dryer is heating and performing properly this should not cause any problems. Energy Star does not currently have a system for rating the efficiency of dryers, though they may reevaluate the need for such a program in the future. However, it's worth noting that the high spin speeds available on Samsung washing machines, along with the Sensor Dry options on the dryers themselves, do help to reduce the amount of energy used to dry your laundry.

Thanks for your question. Some people have found that the large capacity of the DV431 can cause sheets to become twisted and roll up into a ball, which can interfere with their ability to dry. A simple solution is to add 3 to 4 towels to the dryer, or more if the problem persists. This should take care of the issue.
