Yes, it's fine to use dryer sheets in the DV350. Unlike some manufacturers, Samsung sensors will not be effected by the use of dryer sheets.

Features vs. Specs

In the "Features" tab it states:
Steam drying makes your life easier. Steam Refresh quickly steams out odors and Steam Wrinkle Away easily smoothes out wrinkles—so you spend less time dry cleaning and ironing.
But, in the Specifications Tab, It says NO for Steam Refresh.

The blinking rectangle on your DV350AER display indicates that the Wrinkle Prevent option has been selected. This feature will continue to rotate the drum for up to 90 minutes after the heated dry cycle has ended to help prevent wrinkles from setting in. Wrinkle Prevent can be turned on and off by pressing the Wrinkle Prevent button on the control panel.

Thank you for the question. There are several factors that could cause the dryer to shut off before the clothes are dry. If you're drying a mixed load, and have chosen a Sensor Dry setting, the dryer may detect only the dry clothes and turn off. Samsung recommends using a Time Dry setting for mixed loads to help avoid this.

The most common cause of the dryer shutting off after only a few minutes is lack of air circulation, either because the lint trap is clogged or the vents are blocked. Please check the vents and lint filter for blockage.

If there is no blockage of the vents, the dryer is connected to an appropriate 220V, dedicated 30-amp power source that is functioning properly, you've selected an appropriate heated dry cycle, the dryer is not overloaded, and it is turning off after just a few minutes, it will likely require service. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Question

Does the DV350 Steam clean the same as the DV520?

Some areas on the comparison charts on the DV350 don't seem to match
the acutal manual of the DV350 dryer. I am trying to see what the
main difference is between the DV350 and the DV520.

While both the DV350 and DV520 have the steam feature, with preset cycles for Steam Refresh and Steam WrinkleCare, there are several subtle differences between these models in terms of capacity and number of preset cycles and options. I've attached copies of the actual printed specifications sheets so you can compare the two models to determine which one better suits your needs.

Thank you for considering Samsung!

Question

Vent dryer on the right side of the machine?

Can the dryer be vented out the right side of the machine (not the back) so that
the back of the machine can be close to the wall? I have a closet
that the dryer would go into and the depth is an issue.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

The DV350AER can indeed be vented out of the right side so the back of the dryer can sit closer to the wall. However, closets and alcoves have special requirements for installation to ensure the dryer has adequate air circulation, as detailed below:

ALCOVE OR CLOSET INSTALLATION
The dryer must be exhausted to the outside to reduce the risk of fire when installed in an alcove or closet.
• No other fuel-burning appliance should be installed in the same closet as the dryer.
• WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, this dryer MUST BE EXHAUSTED TO THE OUTDOORS. See EXHAUST INFORMATION section (refer to User Manual which can be downloaded as a pdf from this website).
• Minimum clearances between the dryer and adjacent walls or other surfaces are: 2” in front, 17” on top, 1” on either side, and 5” in the back.
• The closet front must have two unobstructed air openings for a combined minimum total area of 72 in² with 3” minimum clearance on the top and bottom. A louvered door with equivalent space clearance is acceptable.

Samsung now makes a side vent kit, model DV-1A, which is available through SamsungParts.com or by calling 800-627-4368 to speak with an agent.

I'm sorry to hear your DV350 dryer is not turning. Please make sure the door is closed securely - the dryer will not run if the door is open - and an appropriate cycle is selected. If the power is working but the dryer still won't tumble, it will require service. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Samsung does not have any research to suggest whether dryer bars are recommended or not. Dryer sheets, however, are fine to use with Samsung dryers, so if you find the bars are effecting the drying performance I would suggest using the sheets instead.

The DV350AER electric dryer can be vented out the left or right side with the DV-1A side vent kit accessory, which is available for purchase through SamsungParts.com or by calling 800-627-4368. This kit is also available through most major retailers that carry Samsung appliances. We recommend having a qualified technician install the side vent kit. There are a number of factors that can contribute to clothes not getting dry. The most common is a lack of air circulation due to a clogged lint filter or vent ducts. Please click on the following link for troubleshooting suggestions: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

Which wash or dry cycle you select really depends on the type of items you're washing and how heavily soiled they are. I would suggest reviewing the user manual as well as the items' fabric care labels to determine which cycle is most appropriate in terms of temperature, soil level and spin speed. If the item is stained, then the Steam option may help to loosen the fibers for more effective stain removal. If the fabric can stand up to high spin speeds, then this will help to extract more water so it will spend less time in the dryer. If most of the items in the load are of similar weights, then using a Sensor Dry cycle may be the most efficient. If you have just a few wrinkled items, then Steam Wrinkle Care can help to remove the wrinkles so you spend less time ironing.

The 350 washer and dryer offer a lot of flexibility so you can choose the cycles and options that are best for your particular laundry needs.

Thank you!

If your dryer is turning off only a few minutes into a sensor dry cycle and the clothes are still damp, please check the lint trap and vent ducts for blockage. If there is insufficient ventilation the dryer cannot function properly. Additional troubleshooting tips can be found by clicking on the following link then selecting "Troubleshooting ► > Clothing And Laundry ► > Clothes Are Damp At The End Of A Dry Cycle": http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

If these suggestions do not help to resolve the issue, please use the link provided at the bottom of the article to submit your contact information to the support team.

Thanks for the question. Each cycle on the DV350 is programmed based on the recommended heat settings and typical time estimates for the different types of loads. These default settings are provided in the Cycle Chart in your user manual. To choose a lower heat setting than Medium, you can either select the Delicate cycle for a Low heat setting, or use the Time Dry cycle to choose your desired temperature. The manual can be downloaded as a pdf file from this website.
