The dryer must be connected to the cold water faucet using the new inlet hoses. Do not use old
hoses.
1. If “Y” connector cannot be attached directly to the cold
water faucet, the short hose must be used.
2. Turn the cold water faucet off.
3. Attach short inlet hose to cold water faucet.
Screw on coupling by hand until it is seated on the faucet.
4. Using pliers, tighten the coupling with an additional two thirds
turn.
Do not over tighten, as it may damage the coupling.
5. Attach ‘Y” connector to brass male end of small hose.
Screw on coupling by hand until it is seated on connector.
6. Using pliers, tighten the coupling with an additional two thirds
turn.

7. Attach angled end of long hoses to the fill valve at the
bottom of the dryer rear frame. Screw on coupling by hand
until it is seated on fill valve connector.
8. Using pliers, tighten the coupling with an additional two thirds

9. Check that the water faucets are on.
10. Check for leaks around “Y” connector, faucets and hoses.

Samsung recommends using the Time Dry - Extra Low Heat setting, primarily due to the heat sensitivity of the types of items that the rack is usually used for. Please consult the fabric care instructions for your items for advice on the use of heat for drying them, noting that even an Extra Low heat setting may not be recommended for some items, such as those containing foam or rubber.

It's normal for a cold mist of water to be sprayed in the dryer during the Steam cycle, and the heat from the dryer should turn the mist into steam. Opening the door during the cycle would let the heat out, which would hinder the evaporation of water droplets on the door. If your clothes are drying and the water is evaporating, and the steam appears to be effective in removing wrinkles, then it is likely your dryer is working correctly since it is not unusual for the steam itself to be difficult to see. If, however, your dryer is not heating and your clothes are not drying, then service may be necessary. Thanks for the question. Since the DV331 dryer does not have an Air Fluff or No Heat temperature setting, the closest alternative is the Extra Low which has a temperature of approximately 106°F.

I’m sorry to hear your DV331 has a chip in the paint. Unfortunately, Samsung does not have touch up paint available. I would suggest contacting your local appliance, hardware or home improvement store for assistance finding a suitable alternative. As with most other metals, if the chip in the paint has exposed the underlying metal and left it unprotected, it could lead to rust and corrosion.

Samsung does not have any research to suggest whether dryer bars are recommended or not. Dryer sheets, however, are fine to use with Samsung dryers, so if you find the bars are effecting the drying performance I would suggest using the sheets instead. I would also suggest checking the instructions on the dryer bars to make sure they are recommended for use in steam cycles.
