I guess if you are talking about the dryer vent in the back it is about 2 inches from the bottom of the dryer vent to floor.

Question

Dryer shuts off

We had a blanket in the dryer on Normal and after five minutes it shut off. It did this several times. We tried Time Dry set at forty minutes and when it got to 39 minutes it went to 1 minute. We went back to Normal and it went to 1 minute when it got to 39 minutes. THE BLANKET WAS NOT DRY.

The dryer is less then one month old.

I'm sorry to hear you're having some difficulty drying a blanket in your DV330AEB. First, please check the lint filter and vent to make sure it isn't blocked. This is one of the most common issues that can prevent the dryer from running a full course. Even though the dryer is only a month old, if you used the previously installed vent duct or weather hood, there could be enough blockage to restrict air flow.

When running a Sensor Dry cycle, it can sometimes be helpful to add a few towels when drying larger items like sheets and blankets which can have a tendency to bunch up, preventing the sensors from being able to detect the moisture level in the dryer accurately. However, if the dryer is shutting off early when selecting a Time Dry cycle, and the power source and vents are all set up properly, your dryer may require service. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Thank you for the question. Samsung dryers, including the DV330AEB, have powerful exhaust fans to help prevent lint from attaching to the inside of the vent duct, so it is not unusual for some of it to escape and be vented outside. If the vent is sealed properly with no leaks, most of the moisture should evaporate and be vented outside along with the hot air. However, if there is any blockage in the vents, or if the dryness level is set on Less or Damp Dry, or the Air Fluff cycle is selected, it would not be unusual for there to be moisture remaining in the lint as well as in the clothes. If you have an appropriate heated dry setting selected, with the dryness level set on Normal or More Dry, and there is still a lot of moisture trapped in the lint, please check the vent ducts for blockage or leaks.

I'm sorry to hear your dryer is not heating. The most common cause of the dryer not heating is obstructed air flow from a clogged lint trap or vent ducts. Please check the vents for blockage. Other factors to check are to make sure the dryer is plugged into a dedicated 30-amp power supply that is functioning properly, and an appropriate heated dry cycle is selected. If you've checked each of these suggestions and the dryer still will not heat, it will require service. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your DV330AEB. If your dryer won't turn on, try cycling the power by unplugging and replugging it, or turn the circuit breaker off then on again. If it powers on but won't start, make sure the lint trap and vent ducts are free of lint and obstructions, the door is closed completely, an appropriate cycle is selected and the Child Lock is not engaged, then press Start. If the dryer still won't power on at all, or won't start after following the above checklist, it will likely require service. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Four-way venting means that the DV330AEB, like most other electric Samsung dryers, can be set up to vent out of the back (factory default), bottom, left or right side. If you choose to vent out the bottom or the sides, Samsung makes a special vent kit, model DV-1A, for this purpose.

Thank you for the question. Samsung washers and dryers use the same pedestals, though the hardware used to attach them are somewhat different. The WE357A7x pedestals come with hardware kits containing the parts needed for either the washer or the dryer. The new WE357A0x pedestals come with the Quick Install hardware already attached to the pedestal. Simply follow the instructions to determine the appropriate placement of the washer vs. the dryer.

It's normal for the dryer display to remain lit with the word "End" after the cycle has ended until you open the door. If the Wrinkle Prevent option is selected, the drum will continue to turn for up to 90 minutes after the cycle has ended to help keep wrinkles from setting in. If Wrinkle Prevent is not selected, and you've chosen a Sensor Dry cycle, the dryer may run longer than the original estimate for a variety of reasons. If the Time Dry option is selected, it should turn off automatically when the cycle is complete; if it does not, service may be necessary.

Please click on the following link then select "Troubleshooting ► > Cycles And Settings" for more information on the Sensor Dry setting: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

If none of these tips or explanations helps to resolve the issue, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you further.

Please see the attached instructions from the user manual regarding the installation and use of the dryer rack. If the rack is not staying in place, perhaps the pillows are too large and the baffles are pushing them and knocking the rack out of place. I would suggest trying to dry just on pillow at a time, and positioning it so it doesn't have any contact with the baffles in the dryer drum when it turns.

Samsung does not currently make a Steam Washer in the Breakwater Blue color, so this is a key difference between the two current steam models available in Stainless Platinum (WF520 and WF448) and the WF330 4.3 cubic foot washer and DV330 dryer. While the 330 pair has many great features, such as Vibration Reduction Technology, PureCycle, Stainless Steel Diamond Drum and Internal Water Heater, it does not have steam cycles.

Therefore, if steam is important to you, you may want to consider the 520 or 448 pairs, both of which are available in both Stainless Platinum and Neat White; the 419 pair, available in Blue Steel and Neat White; or the 350, available in Neat White and Tango Red.

Question

I'm having a problem with my Samsung dryer

I've had my Samsung dryer for about 2 and a half years and it has been great. In recent months the lint trap screen has started to come out and my clothes are catching on it. My wife has had several shirts get ruined because of this and I'm wondering if there is a replacement part for this or if this problem has happened to other people. I really need to get it fixed soon or I'm going to have to get a new dryer and this shouldn't be happening to a dryer that is less than three years old. Thanks

Thank you for the question. Please clean the lint trap housing thoroughly, including the track on the sides that guide the lint screen into place. A build up of lint in this area can prevent the filter from resting properly. If, after cleaning completely, your lint filter still won't rest properly in place, please visit SamsungParts.com for information and availability of a replacement screen.
