I'm sorry to hear your dryer is not drying well. The most common cause of the dryer not drying properly is obstructed air flow from a clogged lint trap or vent ducts. Please check the vents for blockage. Other factors to check are to make sure the dryer is plugged into a dedicated 30-amp power supply that is functioning properly, and an appropriate heated dry cycle is selected. If you're drying a mixed load of fabrics, Samsung recommends using a Time Dry cycle, since the sensors may not be able to detect the dampness of clothes in the back of the dryer if items in the front are completely dry.

If you've checked each of these suggestions and the dryer still is not drying effectively, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to help you determine whether your dryer will require service.

Thank you for the question. Please refer to the User Manual for recommendations and specifications for installing the DV220AEW dryer. Samsung recommends having all electrical connections installed by a licensed electrician to ensure they meet with local building and electrical codes.

The DV220 User Manual can be downloaded as a pdf file from this website for your convenience.

I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your DV407 gas dryer. If the power to the dryer is functioning properly, the door is closed completely and an appropriate cycle is selected, yet the dryer will not start when the Start/Pause button is pressed, it will likely require service. There are currently two models of Samsung pedestals that are compatible with the DV220AEW dryer: WE357A7W and WE357A0W. The latter has a new "Quick Install" system to make mounting the washer or dryer on top of the pedestal easier, though the pedestals themselves are the same.

The DV220 can be stacked on top of most current Samsung front load washers using the SK-5A stacking kit accessory which is available through SamsungParts.com or by calling 800-627-4368. The SK-5A is also available through many major retailers that carry Samsung front load washers and dryers.

The DV220AEW does not have a volume adjustment for the signal, but you can disable the end of cycle signal by pressing the Mixed Load Bell button for several seconds until the Signal Off icon is illuminated on the control panel.

Question

Drier doesn't heat

I checked the existing questions and the most common answer to the problem was a block in the duct. I had a brand new duct put in when I got my washer and drier. So I don't believe I have a block. When I go outside I can see the louvers on the vent moving so I believe there is airflow. I also had a new circuit pulled to my electrical box so I am pretty sure I have power. What else might cause the drier not to get warm?

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue with your DV220AEW. Besides the points you mentioned, please make sure the lint trap is clear and a heated dry cycle is selected. (Please forgive me for stating the obvious, but it is sometimes the obvious that is overlooked.) Also try cycling the power to the dryer by unplugging and replugging or turning the circuit breaker off then on again. If the problem persists, your dryer will likely require service. Please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Error code "bE2" means that the dryer detects a button has either been pressed for over 30 seconds or is stuck. Make sure a button is not being pressed continuously and restart the cycle. If the code returns your dryer will require service. Please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Like most front load washers, the door on the WF220 opens from right to left and cannot be reversed to open from left to right because of the location of the door lock. The dryer doors, however, are reversible. Instructions to reverse the dryer door can be found in the User Manual, which can be downloaded from Samsung's website for your convenience.

Unlike the washing machine, which has shipping bolts which should be reinstalled when moving, the dryer does not have specific requirements. I would suggest taping or securing the door closed with a rope or belt, securing the cord (if applicable), and being careful not to scratch, dent, drop or jostle it too much.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue with your DV220 dryer. Please make sure the door is closed and latched completely. If the door is not closed properly, the dryer will not run. Check the lint filter to make sure there is no blockage of air which can prevent the dryer from operating properly. Try cycling the power to the dryer by unplugging/replugging or turn the circuit breaker off then on again. Reset the cycle and press the Start/Pause button. If the dryer still won't run, it may require service.
