Error code "bE2" means that the dryer detects a button has either been pressed for over 30 seconds or is stuck. Make sure a button is not being pressed continuously and restart the cycle. If the code returns your dryer will require service. Please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Question

Can I vent my DV220AE dryer out of the right side?

Also, I would like to know how difficult it is to install the side vent dryer kit... My dryer is currently stacked. Would I need to unstack the unit to install the side vent kit?

Thanks,

Thank you for the question. Samsung recommends having a qualified technician install the DV-1A side vent kit. While it is possible to complete the installation without unstacking the units, it might prove helpful to do so depending on the set up of your laundry room since it's necessary to have full access to the rear of the dryer. For assistance locating a technician in your area, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent.

I'm sorry to hear your dryer is not heating. The most common cause of the dryer not heating is obstructed air flow from a clogged lint trap or vent ducts. Even though the dryer is new, if it was connected to previously installed vent ducts, please check the vents for blockage. Other factors to check are to make sure the dryer is plugged into a dedicated 30-amp power supply that is functioning properly, and an appropriate heated dry cycle is selected. If you've checked each of these suggestions and your DV220AEW still will not heat, it will require service. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Unlike the washing machine, which has shipping bolts which should be reinstalled when moving, the dryer does not have specific requirements. I would suggest taping or securing the door closed with a rope or belt, securing the cord (if applicable), and being careful not to scratch, dent, drop or jostle it too much.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue with your DV220 dryer. Please make sure the door is closed and latched completely. If the door is not closed properly, the dryer will not run. Check the lint filter to make sure there is no blockage of air which can prevent the dryer from operating properly. Try cycling the power to the dryer by unplugging/replugging or turn the circuit breaker off then on again. Reset the cycle and press the Start/Pause button. If the dryer still won't run, it may require service. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

The DV220 dryer does not actually have a door alarm. If the door were not closed properly, the dryer would not run and should display an error code. You may be hearing either the Mixed Load Bell or the Wrinkle Prevent signal, both of which can be turned off by pressing the corresponding buttons on the control panel.

If your dryer has an error code that is not in the user manual (which "d3" is not), please make sure the door is closed, turn the dryer off then back on, then reset the circuit breaker in your home. If the error code returns your dryer will require service to diagnose and correct the issue. The most likely cause of your DV220 continuing to spin after the cycle has ended is that the Wrinkle Prevent option has been selected. Please refer to the attached image with the Wrinkle Prevent button and indicator light circled. If either of these is lit up on your control panel, then it means this feature is on. Wrinkle Prevent will continue to tumble your dryer intermittently without heat for up to 90 minutes after the cycle is complete to help keep wrinkles from setting in. To turn it off, simply press the Wrinkle Prevent button again.

If the Wrinkle Prevent light is not on, a Sensor Dry cycle is selected and clothes are dry, then the dryer should turn off automatically. If this is not the case then your dryer likely requires service, which can be arranged by either submitting an online service request through the link below, or calling 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can assist you further.
