Looking for Answers about samsung 7.3 cu. ft. Electric Dryer?

The correct dryer rack for the DV220 is listed in the User Guide and on the parts website. The part number is DC61-02773A

power hads to be on for the lamp to light, light is located in upper right side

I dont remember that there are any preformed cut outs on either side of this dryer. That is generally an indicator that there is no information for that. It would be and improvised process. Dryers that I have had in the past had these and I did side vent it.

First I would remove the drier vent hose connected inside the house. I would then take a wire hanger and straighten it out. Take the wire hanger and insert it into the duct an feel for any obstruction. If there are any rotate the hanger against it and see if you can dislodge it. If that does not work the go outside and try the same thing. The other thing you can do is get a vacuum cleaner and insert the long suction attachment and try and clean out any debris. I also use a long wire brush that I used to clean the bottom vents on the refrigerator.

It does not buzz but plays a song.

Thank you for the question. The drum light should come on when the door is open. If it does not, and the power to the dryer is operating correctly, then you may need to replace the lamp by removing one screw with a Phillips Head screwdriver, and replacing the old bulb with a new one.

Thanks for the question. VRT (Vibration Reduction Technology) is used in Samsung's current line up of washing machines (including the WF220), but not dryers. Since dryers tumble at a much lower speed than washers, VRT would not be relevant for them.

The difference between the two models is the door trim color: the DV210 has a white-trimmed door to match the WF210 washing machine design, while the DV220's door has silver-colored trim to match the WF220.

Like most front load washers, the door on the WF220 opens from right to left and cannot be reversed to open from left to right because of the location of the door lock. The dryer doors, however, are reversible. Instructions to reverse the dryer door can be found in the User Manual, which can be downloaded from Samsung's website for your convenience.

The most likely cause of your DV220 continuing to spin after the cycle has ended is that the Wrinkle Prevent option has been selected. Please refer to the attached image with the Wrinkle Prevent button and indicator light circled. If either of these is lit up on your control panel, then it means this feature is on. Wrinkle Prevent will continue to tumble your dryer intermittently without heat for up to 90 minutes after the cycle is complete to help keep wrinkles from setting in. To turn it off, simply press the Wrinkle Prevent button again.

If the Wrinkle Prevent light is not on, a Sensor Dry cycle is selected and clothes are dry, then the dryer should turn off automatically. If this is not the case then your dryer likely requires service, which can be arranged by either submitting an online service request through the link below, or calling 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can assist you further.

There are currently two models of Samsung pedestals that are compatible with the DV220AEW dryer: WE357A7W and WE357A0W. The latter has a new "Quick Install" system to make mounting the washer or dryer on top of the pedestal easier, though the pedestals themselves are the same.
