Thank you for contacting Samsung.

It's merely a reminder to check your lint filter before drying a new load.

Question

Lights on control panel come on only while power button is momentarily depressed.

When first turning on the dryer, the panel will only light while I hold the button in. If I keep trying to turn it on pushing the button, it will eventually come on and work normal, even allowing me to dry several loads. Then next time I do laundry, the same thing happens. Could the control panel possibly be bad? It's as if it's not making good contact when I start it from a cold state.

Question

Can the dryer work on 50hz power

I exported my dryer to a country with 240v 50hz and when I try to run it I get an FE error code, which I believe is to do with the electrical supply. The matching washer works fine on 120v 50hz, it is only the dryer that gives the error code. It runs for like 10 sec and then the error code comes up and it stops. Is there anything I can do to make this work, even if it invalidates the warranty as right now I can't use it.

Since the dryer is designed to be connected to a 240V/60 Hz/30-amp power supply, and using it outside the U.S. or in a manner other than intended would void the warranty, I can't advise you otherwise. I would suggest contacting an electrician in your region for suggestions.

The icon you've described is the "Clean Lint Filter" reminder. Please check the lint filter and exhaust vent for blockage. Next, make sure the door is closed and latched completely. If the door is not closed properly, the dryer will not run. Try cycling the power to the dryer by unplugging/replugging or turn the circuit breaker off then on again. Reset the cycle and press the Start/Pause button. If the dryer still won't run, it may require service. Why has the dryer made 2 "beep" sounds and stopped?

This is the first time we encountered the beeping sound. The timer shows there are 17 minutes remaining, and no error code. We checked that some clothes are dried but some clothes are not fully dried. After pushing the "Start" button, the dryers continues drying.

I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your dryer. Please make sure the vents and lint trap are clear of build up that could obstruct air flow. If either the Mixed Load Bell or Wrinkle Prevent options are selected, the dryer would sound an alert to let you know to remove the dry clothes or that the heated dry cycle has ended. If neither of these options are selected and the dryer is sounding an alert then stopped, please submit your contact information to our support team through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Before putting the clothes in the dryer, you would need to separate each individual cloth because the tumbling makes some stuck together which would require more time to dry.

Question

My Samsung Dryer that I recently purchased about three weeks ago seems to be very hot to the touch on the outside.

It is so hot that I cannot leave my hand on it for more than a few seconds. I have read other blogs and it talks about the vent being clogged. That is not the case because it directly vents outside within 3' of exterior wall plus the vent is brand new. Is this normal or is there something defective with my brand new dryer?

Question

Dryer does not dry properly, takes way to long to dry

I purchased this dryer along with the washer a little over a year now. I have put up with this issue since new but it is really starting to get to me now. The clothes take forever to dry no matter how small a load, cycle or heat range I use or time dry vs sensor dry. On average it takes one hour and twenty minutes to dry a small load of clothes. This load does not include jeans or towels. When I do a load of two jeans and two towels it takes almost two hours to dry these four items. It is driving me crazy. The vent line is perfectly clean all the way through. I have even blown out the entire vent line to make sure there is good air flow which there is. The dryer says it is operating normally with no issues or problems. All my previous dryers (wish I still had them and not this one) would dry the clothes in almost half the time. Also all my other dryers when the clothes came out of the dryer they were nice and warm. When these clothes come out of the dryer they are body temperature. Do I have a lemon here or is all of Samsung dryers not effecient as all the other major brands?

Thanks for any help

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue with your DV210AEW. If the vent is clear, the power is sufficient, and the controls are set properly, the dryer should be able to function effectively. To see the estimated dry times for different cycles, please refer to the Cycle Chart at the back of the user manual. The manual can be downloaded as a pdf file from this website.

Please follow this link then select "Troubleshooting ► > Cycles And Settings ► > Excessive Drying Times" to review troubleshooting tips: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

Question

Where can I find a parts list and exploded view so that I can find the part numbers and where do I order the parts from???

This is kind of a two part question. OK, a few more than two... I don't know if I need the Thermister, in the ohm test of it I got a reading of 15 and the specs show a good reading of 10. Should I change it also? So, I need to find the part numbers for the parts so that I can fix my wife's dryer... And ASAP...
Also, once I've got the part numbers then where can I order the parts from???
