Question

Why my dishes are not dried after finished the cycle?

Seems like no heat to dry them when it's finished washing.

I definitely have heat after when its drying. I had a bit of trouble getting dishes dry until I discovered JetDry is not optional on this model. However, if yours is not hot, perhaps the heating element is not working.

On the DMT800 I press the cycle and sanatize and then delay. The delay doesn't work and the cycle starts. Am I doing something wrong?

To set the Delay Start option on your DMT800 dishwasher, follow these steps:
1. Press the Power button.
2. Immediately after pressing the Power button, press the Delay Start button.
3. Select how many hours you'd like to delay the cycle for by pressing the Delay Start button repeatedly until you get to the desired time. The time is set in one-hour increments and can be delayed for up to 24 hours.
4. After you have selected the Delay hours, select the type of cycle that you wish to run. It's normal for the dishwasher to appear to start after you select the cycle, but it is actually just spraying the dishes intermittently to prevent the food from drying and setting. The cycle will not actually start and the detergent will not dispense until the time set for the Delay Start.

Question

Why does it not dry plastic even when using the sanitize option?

I load the plastic bowls in the top rack. As recommended, I use the sanitize option and heavy cycle. The plastic does not dry at all. The rinse aid is full and the dishwasher is hooked up to hot water. I've even tried this with very few dishes and I've tried with a full load...both times, the plastic does not dry.

Thank you for the question. The DMT800 uses a fan-driven condensation drying system that relies on the residual heat in the dishes to help evaporate the water. The Sanitize cycle helps to boost the temperature of the dishes which speeds the evaporation process, and the rinse aid helps the water run off the dishes more effectively. However, since plastics do not retain as much heat, water does not evaporate from them as quickly.

Question

Will not restart without cutting power

I seem to have a problem others have indicated. Power to our dishwasher runs through a wall switch. Once a wash cycle has completed, another cannot be started without cutting the power off and then back on. Is this an item that needs service? I don't want to damage components with the power off/on cycles.

Thanks for the question. It should not be necessary to cycle the power to the dishwasher from the circuit in order to start a new cycle. I would suggest checking the electrical connections to the dishwasher. If your dishwasher has an odor, it is probably caused by a small amount of water left over from the last wash cycle. If the dishwasher is not used on a regular basis, water can sit in the bottom of the dishwasher and cause an odor.

To remove odors, add a chlorine based detergent, and run the dishwasher empty for an entire cycle. Please click here to view a short video with additional tips for keeping the dishwasher clean and odor-free: http://support-us.samsung.com/spsn/...

Additionally, check your garbage disposal. Usually, the garbage disposal and dishwasher use the same drainage pipe. If you notice the same odor coming from your sink, chances are that the garbage disposal needs to be cleared. Lastly, it's important to make sure the drain hose is installed and raised correctly to help prevent dirty water from draining back into the dishwasher after the cycle is complete. See the attached image or refer to your user manual for more information.

Thank you,
Ms. Samsung

Question

Can I order new height adjustment parts for the upper rack? Both have broken.

Both parts that allow you to adjust the upper rack of the dishwasher have broken after less than 2 years (the clips snapped off). Is there a way to simply order new ones without having to a service-person come?
