If your dishwasher has an odor, it is probably caused by a small amount of water left over from the last wash cycle. If the dishwasher is not used on a regular basis, water can sit in the bottom of the dishwasher and cause an odor.
To remove odors, add a chlorine based detergent, and run the dishwasher empty for an entire cycle. Please click here to view a short video with additional tips for keeping the dishwasher clean and odor-free: http://support-us.samsung.com/spsn/...
Additionally, check your garbage disposal. Usually, the garbage disposal and dishwasher use the same drainage pipe. If you notice the same odor coming from your sink, chances are that the garbage disposal needs to be cleared. Lastly, it's important to make sure the drain hose is installed and raised correctly to help prevent dirty water from draining back into the dishwasher after the cycle is complete.
