Question

After I run a load in the dishwasher when it;s complete there seems to be moisture in the dishwasher on the sides. Is this normal?

Yes, this is normal. The DMT800RHS uses a fan-assisted condensation drying method which relies on the residual heat on the dishes to evaporate the water, which condenses on the cooler stainless steel tub walls before draining from the tub.

To set the Delay Start option on your DMT800 dishwasher, follow these steps:
1. Press the Power button.
2. Immediately after pressing the Power button, press the Delay Start button.
3. Select how many hours you'd like to delay the cycle for by pressing the Delay Start button repeatedly until you get to the desired time. The time is set in one-hour increments and can be delayed for up to 24 hours.
4. After you have selected the Delay hours, select the type of cycle that you wish to run. It's normal for the dishwasher to appear to start after you select the cycle, but it is actually just spraying the dishes intermittently to prevent the food from drying and setting. The cycle will not actually start and the detergent will not dispense until the time set for the Delay Start.

Question

Is there a reset switch for this unit, I have to keep resetting the circuit breaker to get the unit to start?

I have had this unit since December and installed since February. Approximately every other time can not get the start button to turn the machine on. Must switch the circuit breaker. Would be easier if I knew where the reset was to get the unit to work properly. Do I need a new panel? Should I make a service call? Otherwise I like the machine but it is frustrating to go downstairs when I want to use the dishwasher.

Question

Cleaning stainless

I bought an 800 series stainless dishwasher. From the first week, I've had drips that won't go away no matter how many times I clean it with a stainless cleaner spray. Is there a special cleaning agent I should be using? It's only a couple months old and I keep looking at those drips and feeling very disappointed.
Thanks

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble keeping your stainless steel dishwasher clean. If the stainless steel cleaner you're using isn't helping, try applying a small amount of baby oil or WD40 onto a clean, dry, lint free cloth and using it to polish the stainless surface.

The DMT800RHS uses fan-assisted condensation drying rather than heated drying. This energy-efficient drying technology relies on the residual heat on the dishes to evaporate moisture which then condenses on the cooler stainless steel walls. The fans help to draw the moisture out through a chamber in the door where it evaporates into the air.

Please click on the following link then select "Usage ► > Explanation Of Condensing Dry Technology" for tips on optimizing the drying performance in your dishwasher: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

Question

Will not restart without cutting power

I seem to have a problem others have indicated. Power to our dishwasher runs through a wall switch. Once a wash cycle has completed, another cannot be started without cutting the power off and then back on. Is this an item that needs service? I don't want to damage components with the power off/on cycles.

Thanks for the question. It should not be necessary to cycle the power to the dishwasher from the circuit in order to start a new cycle. I would suggest checking the electrical connections to the dishwasher. Question

Why would a DMT800RHS fill with water but not spray, spin, is this likely a pump or other type of component problem?

My dishwasher starts, fills with water (apparently from the side), but then none of the spinners move. The dishes essentially just get steamed. It drains normally, it fills (I think this is normal), but it simply doesn't spin the water up onto the dishes.

Question

Is there any way to fit this dishwasher into 33.75 inch height opening? Would removing the legs help?

If you remove the legs you will not be able to level the unit. The amount the legs protrude is only ~ a quarter inch when collapsed all the way. The part of the dishwasher that is behind the door would fit, but the door and the attachment brackets would not be able to get close enough to the cabinet to secure, so the dishwasher doesn't tilt when loading. Also if you take the legs off, you lessen the height of the channels that will contain the power and water lines. I had to modify the attachment brackets to fit my space, but height wasn't the issue. The only acceptable way I see would be to decrease the thickness of the counter above - my counter has enough depth to do that - would yours? Or replace the flooring only under the washer with tile or something that is not as thick.
