Thank you for the question. All of the cycle options on the DMT800 include a "drying" portion, though there isn't a specific drying cycle that can be selected independently. For more information on available cycles and options, I would suggest referring to the Cycle Chart on page 22 of the user manual.

Question

I can't close the lower dishwasher rack in order to run the dishwashing cycle

I have checked to see that no utensils are protruding below the basket thus impeding closure and have rearranged the dishware in the back to make sure nothing is preventing the rack from pushing in all the way

Yes, when Delay Start is programmed, your dishwasher should spray a small amount of water to help prevent food from drying and sticking to the dishes.

Question

What can I do about the smell?

I recently purchased this dishwasher and it smells horrible. As soon as I put one thing (even a dry cup) in the dishwasher it smells so bad. Even after we run the dishwasher, if we don't unload it right away, the odor comes back quickly. Is there anything you can suggest?

If your dishwasher has an odor, it is probably caused by a small amount of water left over from the last wash cycle. If the dishwasher is not used on a regular basis, water can sit in the bottom of the dishwasher and cause an odor. To remove odors, add a chlorine based detergent, and run the dishwasher empty for an entire cycle. If this suggestion does not help to resolve your problem, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you further.

I'm sorry to hear your dishwasher has an odor. I would suggest following the maintenance procedures outlined in the user manual, referring especially to "Cleaning the Interior" on page 20. It may also be necessary to wipe down the side and bottom edges of the door where food may drip or spill when the door is open, but which will not be cleaned by running the cycle when the door is closed.

If your dishes are not loading as recommended in the manual, due to their size or shape, I would suggest positioning them so they are not touching, have the greatest amount of exposure to water and detergent as it circulates, and do not obstruct the spray arms from turning. Fortunately, the DMT800 has groups of tines which can be tilted or even removed for the greatest degree of flexibility in loading your dishes.

Thanks for the question. Yes, it is normal for the dishwasher to spray some water on the dishes when the Delay option is selected to help prevent the food from hardening on the dishes, making it more difficult to clean.

I'm sorry to hear you're getting an LE error on your new DMT800 dishwasher. This code indicates a possible leak, which could be triggering the digital leak sensor in the dishwasher despite not being visible to you. Samsung recommends turning off the water supply valve, then contacting service. Please submit your contact information to our support team through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Question

This dishwasher does not appear on Energy Star's list.

I want to apply for a South Carolina rebate for this dishwasher I just purchased online from Best Buy. On your website it says it is Energy Star qualified. However, it does not appear on Energy Star's list. Does it qualify or not?

After the wash cycle is complete the dishes are dry, but there is a considerable amount of water left on the interior walls of the dishwasher.

What causes this, and is there a cure?

Thanks!

Thank you for contacting Samsung.

The "bE" error code is a functional error. We recommend you turn off the dishwasher and try to start it again. If the issue persists, we recommend you file a service request.

Additional info on error codes can be found on page 26 of the user manual:

Upper rack is currently secured with zip ties. Put zip ties around the other one to insure the rack remains at the base of the hooks. Page 15 of user manual.
