Question

Very Disappointed

This dishwasher doesn't seem to be working properly. Our dishes come out very dirty with particles which now have to be soaked to get clean, regardless of which cycle we choose. Any suggestions?

Question

At the end of each washing cycle, there is a small 1" X 3" puddle of water on the hardwood floor right under the middle of the door of the DMT400RHB

What causes this puddle? It only shows up at the end of the cycle. It is not there before we start the washing cycle. It's on the floor of the house, not the inside of the dishwasher. It happens every time we use the machine. A help desk person suggested it is a kink in the drainline and recommends uninstalling the machine and checking the line. Does that sound reasonable?

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue with your dishwasher. In addition to checking the drainline, I would suggest checking the water temperature to ensure the condensation drying is able to function optimally. Samsung recommends setting the water heater to at least 120˚F; choosing the Sanitize cycle may also help the condensation drying process. If the problem persists, I would suggest contacting service to help determine the cause. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit your contact information to our support team through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue with your DMT400RHB. For troubleshooting tips associated with excessive amounts of water in the bottom of your tub, please follow the link below then select "Troubleshooting ► > Water Related ► > My Dishwasher Has Excessive Water Remaining After The Cycle Has Finished": http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

If the hoses are not kinked or bent, and the water appeared to have drained after the previous cycle, please check the installation. It may be necessary to raise the hose to at least 30" as shown in the attached image to prevent backwash from the drain. This could also be the cause of the odor.

For advice on treating the odor in your dishwasher, please use the same link as above, but select "Home > Troubleshooting ► > My Dishwasher Has An Odor."

If these suggestions do not help to resolve the issue, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you further.

The DMT400RHB is designed to be attached to either the countertop (top mounting) or the cabinets on the side (side mounting). Which one you choose depends on the type of material your countertop is made of; if it can be drilled into without damaging it, you can use the screws for top mounting. If it is made of granite or another material that could be damaged by drilling, then you can use the side-mounting method. You don't need to do both. For more information, please refer to page 14 of the installation guide that comes with your dishwasher.
