There is a box up front behind the front panel. There will be only 3 wire that are not connected. They will be a green wire ground, a white wire common, and a black wire hot. These are the ones you will use for the power cord.

I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your dishwasher. The DMT300 does not have a locking mechanism, per se, so if the latch is positioned in such a way that it is preventing the door from closing, service may be necessary. First, please try cycling the power to the dishwasher by turning the circuit breaker off then on again. If this doesn't resolve the issue, please submit your contact information to our support team through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

The detergent drawer in the DMT300, which was introduced only last year in 2010, should work properly as long as it is kept clean around the edges since a build up of sticky detergent residue can prevent doors from opening. Other factors that can effect the dispenser include water temperature and pressure. If you decide to purchase this model, I would suggest reviewing the user manual for advice on installing and maintaining it properly so it can perform as it's designed to.

I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with the detergent dispenser on your DMT300RFS. Please click on the link below then select "Troubleshooting ► Cleaning Performance ► Detergent Is Not Dispensing Properly": http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

I would also suggest checking your water pressure and temperature to ensure they are set correctly to effectively dissolve the detergent and clean the dishes. The supplied water pressure should be between 20 and 120 psi, and the temperature should be at least 120˚F.

If these suggestions do not help to resolve the issue, please use the service request link provided in the troubleshooting article for further assistance.

Question

Possible dishwasher defect?

I just had my dishwasher installed on 7/15/2011. We have noted a small leak coming from the door of the dishwasher on the right side where there are no water lines. Water is dripping from the bottom right side of the dishwasher door when it is filling with water for the wash or rinse cycle. We've checked to ensure that the leak is not coming from any water lines. Is there an adjustment on the door or is this a known defect in this model?

The DMT300RFS/XAA should have come with a kickplate to cover the feet, but the kickplate itself does have two screws in the front. The screws match the color of the kickplate. If you did not receive the kickplate or matching screws, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you further.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue with your DMT300RFS. The Heavy and Quick lights blinking indicates an "over-level water error". Samsung recommends selecting the Cancel and Drain option on the dishwasher, then turning the water and circuit breaker off and contacting an authorized service center. Question

How do I get rid of Bad odor?

I went to you dishwasher Q & A several weeks ago and found a Samsung suggestion to use a detergent that contains a bleach to eliminate the odor. We have run the diswasher 3-4 times since using the bleach additive and we still have the terrible smell after a day or two. Seems like the dishwasher is not completely draining on its last cycle, leaving water to stand and become pungent. I need help quickly, my wife cannot stand the unpleasant odor.

answer 2
I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your DMT300. If the dishwasher is not draining properly, please check the drain hose for bend or kinks that could obstruct flow. If there is no air gap in the connection, it's important to hang the middle of the drain hose in a high location to prevent backflow, as instructed on page 16 of the installation guide (see the figure below). Besides the steps you've already taken, it may also help to wipe the sides and bottom of the door down with the cleaning solution to remove spills that could promote mildew, and run a Normal or Quick cycle with the Sanitize option selected with detergent but without dishes. If the odor still persists, run the Normal cycle with the dishwasher empty and without detergent until it flushes. Then, interrupt the cycle and put an 8 ounce cup of white vinegar into the lower basket. Close the dishwasher and let the cycle finish.

I hope these steps help to remove the odor and prevent if from recurring.
