Question

Can I change from Black front to Stanless Steel?

I would like to update my 12 year old GE Black refrigerator to a more efficient French door Samsung in Stainless Steel finish. My two year old Samsung dishwasher is black - and I would like to keep the black panel where the buttons are located - but would like to change the main door panel below the button panel to Stanless Steel. Is this a part that is available - and what is the cost?

Thanks for any information.

Question

What can I do to correct overwater error?

I cannot accept the only action is to call service. There must be something the owner can do to correct this problem. The drain pipe is clear, all the water is removed from the dishwasher.

I'm very sorry for any inconvenience this may have given you. This is a functional error. Insert detergent without loading dishes, and run a cycle. If the problem continues, disconnect the circuit breaker and contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, or if you want to come through a social media channel, we have a couple options for you:

If you have a Twitter account, go here or to this URL:

Having a transaction number or model number and serial number handy ahead of time will be helpful.

Question

Why is there a loud "cricket" sound during dry cycle (DMT 300 dishwasher)?

We also bought a DMT300 RFB/X dishwasher, and there is a loud "cricket" sounding from the left top vent during the drying phase. Has anyone ever complained about that? It got louder as the drying went along.
We tried it with and without dishes, with and without drying agent. Have only use the machine twice.

The dishwasher should resume the cycle where it left off after a brief outage. If the power was out for a long time or if there was a power surge, it may be necessary to restart the cycle.

I'm sorry to hear you're having a problem with your DMT300RFB. The blinking "Heavy" light indicates a possible leakage error. Samsung recommends turning off the water supply valve and the circuit breaker for the dishwasher, then contacting a qualified service technician who can diagnose the cause. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit your contact information to our support team through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

To clean the black finish on your dishwasher, I would suggest using mild soap and water or glass cleaner. Rather than spraying it directly on the finish, however, you should apply it using a clean cloth.

Question

dmr55 dishwasher: dishes not clean

Dishes on top rack are not particularly clean. Food residue is on all dishes. I have cleaned out the sprayer arms and have disassembled and cleaned the circulating pump. No error codes and diagnostic program says all ok. When I manually add additional water the problem is solved. Could the dw not be filling adequately, and how do I solve this problem? Where is the low level sensor?

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. There are several other troubleshooting tips to try besides cleaning the nozzles since the dishwasher's ability to clean also depends on the supplied water pressure and temperature and the detergent used. Please click on the following link to review these tips: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/S...

If the problem persists, your dishwasher may require service to properly diagnose the cause. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit your contact information to our support team through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/o...

If you prefer to service it yourself, please visit SamsungParts.com or call 800-627-4368 for information and availability of the service manual.

Samsung recommends having the dishwasher serviced after shutting off the water valve when it signals a possible leakage error. The digital leak sensor can detect leaks inside the dishwasher prior to a leak being evident on the outside, which is how it helps to prevent damage to the floor. In order for it to be effective, however, you should schedule service when the leak sensor is triggered.
