I can scan to USB with no problems and scan dozens of full color pages at once. I can also scan 1-2 pages in full color PDFs with SMB or FTP.
The problem arises when I try to scan more than about 4 pages to SMB or FTP. I get a "memory full" error and the print job cancels. I have 256mb of RAM and I don't understand why this happens. I want to scan bundles of 20+ pages in color and send by SMB.
When printing my printer powers off and back on when the first sheet gets to the fuser. Then when it re-initializes i get a jam error. Its the paper that never got through the fuser before the the power going on and off.
The printer is not printing colors true to the color on the screen. What do I need to do?
When a document is printed, the colors are darker and muted compared to the colors on the computer screen. It seems to scan & print pictures true to color but isn't printing from the computer that way.
I have a CLX-6220FX connected to my Ethernet network. Printing and scanning work just fine from the Windows PC computers. Scanning is just fine on the MacBook and MacBookPro. I can print from Windows 7 running in VMWARE virtual machine on the MacBookPro.
I can NOT print from the MacBook or MacBookPro.
In the printer que window for the CLX-6220 i get always get the following messages:
Printing 'testprint' Connecting to printer... Media jam! Unable to connect to printer; will retry in 30 seconds
I have setup, added, deleted, and re-setup the provided software/drivers at least 6 times on each of the Apple computers.
Where can I look and what can I do to get the Apple computers to print to your CLX-6220 on Ethernet?
When scanning a document into a pdf (and other formats), the image size is enormous...over 26 Mb. I can get scans just under one Mb by changing the setting to 75dpi and grayscale, but I need color scans and better qaulity than 75 dpi. Even a 1 Mb grayscale scan seems huge? This is common on all computers in our office not just one or two. Sceen shot attached of SmarThru window.
CLX-6220FX - How to disable Color Toner Consumption in black/white mode?
I have set my printer (CLX-6220FX) on b/w as standard mode as I need color only as an option. Now, my 3 color toners cartridges emptied by total prints of 85 color pages! I guess this is the permanent color toner calibration who eats this toner.
Is there a way, in black and white mode, to disable the color toner calibration?
Printing a PDF document from Adobe on a Mac is very slow.
I submitted a print request for 30 copies of the same 1 page color flyer. It takes from 5-10 minutes for each single page to be printed. During the delays the printer says "Printing..." and the status from the computer says "Printing".
The paper tray constantly locks into place and will not release when reinserting after reloading paper. The display says that the paper is empty when infact there is plenty of paper in the tray. i need help on how to reset this.
