Looking for Answers about samsung CLX-6210FX/XAA?

Hi,

My CLX-6210FX Printer has a status of offline in both SyncThru Admin 5 and Universal Print Driver apps.

I am able to print status reports from the printer through the http interface and I am able to scan from the printer to my desktop.

I have restarted thte printer multiple times, checked the DNS record for the printer (its on a static ip of 192.168.10.9), and checked that I can ping the 192.168.10.9 address from the machine that I need to print from. All pings are successful.

So, I am baffled. Please Advise.

I have a CLX-6210FX.

On one of my machines in the office (Win7 x64), I am having trouble installing the printer using either the Universal Print Driver, or the earlier Windows driver. In both cases I get messages from the installer like "The '192.168.10.9' device cannot be identified". The software is not automatically finding the printer, even though they are on the same subnet.

I know the printer is configured correctly because I am happily printing ansd scanning to it from a 2nd win7 x64 machine on the same subnet.

What to do?

Just installed cartridges after purchasing printer at Fry's. BTW. The model is CLX - 6220 FX not 6210.

I'm trying to get my CLX-6220FX to send me faxes via email. I've set SMTP and POP servers under Settings->Network Settings, then Outgoing Mail Server(SMTP), but when I test them out using the Test function at the bottom of the page (I'm using SyncThru Web Service), I'm told "Connecting to Server: Service Disabled, Result: Fail".

I've tried multiple SMTP servers, and double-checked that the server I want to use works (I set it up in Outlook and sent test mail). I just can't seem to find out where to turn on SMTP. Help!

I got a message that the Black toner cartridge was low. I replaced the cartridge but i am still having issues with the color and I beleive it is the black that is short in the colors when I print colors.

How do I clean the inside of the feeder scanner glass? There is a black line every time I scan through the feeder. What can I do on my own?

Hello, I set up my new CLX-6220FX unit yesterday. Great output, Very quiet. Do have some issues: 1) registration website does not list that model - I had to select the closest number (used 6210); 2) since I loaded software onto my Win XP (SP3) computer, I have been getting fairly constant CIDAMON.exe errors; 3) in Task Manger processes, there may now be many instances of dwwin.exe running & my computer no longer responds to commands (has to be restarted.

I have a CLX-6210fx mulitfunction that we use to scan to two PC's. One PC will always show up in the scan to pc list on the Samsung and the other will get dropped after a few weeks of use. We add it through the PC software via the Samsung Scan Manager. Both are running Windows XP Professional SP3. It just seems to want to disconnect the second PC periodically. Any Ideas?

AFTER SCANNING FOR A WHILE, THE SCANNER LOCKS. THE SWITCH HAS NOT BEEN TOUCHED. I HAVE TO REBOOT THE SCANNER AND I LOOSE SOME OF THE PDF FILE SCANNED. HOW CAN I DISABLE THE LOCK SWITCH?
ALSO, HOW DO I CLEAN THE ROLLERS ON THE AUTO DOCUMENT FEEDER? IT HAS STARTED GRABBING MORE THAN ONE PAGE AT A TIME.

You did not have the Samsung model CLX-6220FX/XAA on your registration page. I just wanted you to know which product it actually is.
