using a desktop with xp32 bit there is no problem however under windows7 64 there is no option to select other formates beside bmp.

Aside from double-checking that your Capslock isn't on, I'm not sure. If you're doing the setup through the SyncThru web interface, it doesn't capitalize unless Capslock is on or the Shift key is held down.

The imaging unit contains the drum, laser scanning unit, and a few other minor component involved in the laser imaging process. For your model, if you pull out a toner cartridge you can see the green drum immediately behind them.

My printer also did not find my access point. It would see my neighbors but not mine. The way I made it work was by using a static IP address. You can find your access point IP address in your network settings. Just change one of the numbers in the last set of numbers.
Now it works find and I can print and scan, etc., from any PC in the house. Just add the printer to each one of your PCs by going to control panel add printer screen.

Make sure that the router is set to broadcast the SSID of the wireless network (contact your router manufacture if you do not know how to change this setting). The easiest way to set up the wireless is to connect the printer directly to the router using an Ethernet cable. Print off a configuration report on the printer to find out the printer's IP address and type the printer's IP address into the address bar of a web browser. In the Synthru web page click on 'Network Setting' at the top and then 'Wireless' on the left. Set up the wireless using the wizard and then install the printer driver on the computer.

I believe this can be done via the menu... need to drill down to scan settings and then find the resolution settings. I'm not in front of printer, so I can't give the key-by-key how-to. Just explore the scan settings and you should be able to adjust the resolution. Scan to USB is a nice feature...doesn't tie up your computer.

By default the printer will scan at normal size, however if you wish to reduce or enlarge there ir an option for Scan Size under the Scan Features menu.

Depends on where it's jamming...if it's jamming while feeding, check the pickup rollers for wear. Also make sure the paper is aligned in the tray, and that you are using the correct paper weight(see the manual for specifications).

If it's jamming further in the machine, there's not much that can be done without sending it in for service besides carefully cleaning inside the machine with a soft cloth.

Once you have set up your printer and it is working in the computer that you set it up with, it is very esy to add new computers.
Go to Start (or the Orb in vista or 7), control panel, Hardware and sound, Devices and Printers, Add a printer, Add a network, wireless or bluetooth printer. After that your PC should find your wireless printer and you can add it and print from that PC from now on.

I received my printer last saturday and I was able to installed it within two hours. So far is working perfectly from all my PCs. Even though some people have said that this printer is slow waking up from sleep, I find it that for me is within the range of most devices that wake up from sleep mode. It's a pain to do it from the printer directly. Recommend you connect to printers IP port (wired connection). Connect browser to printers IP port and navigate to "network settings" tab, then select wireless along the left side... click on custom and click next... you'll have option to enter the network key from the next screen.
Via printer directly, you can use the numeric keypad just like a cellphone (i.e. keep clicking on same key until you get to letter/number you want)

best bet is to steer your browser to our printers IP address (e.g. 192.168.0.15 or whatever your router has set your printer for). Click on "Supplies Status" to get what you need.

Sounds like you need to change the receive mode. Which one you need to use depends on your setup, how you want to receive faxes, etc. For an explanation of each mode and how to change them, look in the manual, under Faxing -> Receiving a Fax -> Changing Receiving Modes.

The waster toner bin is quite easy to replace. Open the front of the printer and look for the plastic piece that has colored C/M/Y/K stickers on it and pull it out. FYI it may not need to be replaced yet; sometimes toner builds up inside the top opening and blocks the sensor before the bin is full, causing it to be incorrectly reported as full. To check this, clean inside the top opening with a soft cloth, then reinsert the bin and close the door. If the error goes away, you're good to go. If not, you can go to www.samsungparts.com to get a replacement.
