Printing squished in Gentoo Linux CLP620 color laser
I have the latest version of cups and the Samsung driver from the website. In portrait format the test page only covers the left hand side of the page. Is there something I am missing being I have it working great in Windows and Ubuntu Linux on the network. I have tried using the samsung driver setup instructions and it does the same thing as if you use just cups and put the driver in place and select it. Both give the same results.
How do you get preferences settings to remain selected in Windows 7?
I am using a CLP-510 printer on a network share from a Windows XP host. I can set up preferences, but they keep getting set back to the default on my Windows 7 system. How can I get my Windows 7 system to keep the preference settings?
Why am I getting a warning of 10% remaining on all color cartridges and all show 349 pages printed?
Two days ago the warning light started flashing and the panel is indicating that all the color cartridges need changing. I printed the Supplies Information Report and ALL color cartridges say that they have 10% remaining and all page counts are 349. This seems very strange to me on several counts. First, the warning came on when I was printing a black & white document. Second, every color cartridge is showing the same page count - 349. I would hope I could count on more than 400 pages per cartridge! I guess the page count could all be the same but all of them are at 10% remaining would mean that the same amount of toner was used on each page. Is there something else wrong?
I own a CLX-3175FN color laser printer. The original cartridges are now used up. I just want to buy the CLT-K409S (black ink only). Will the printer still work, even though the color cartridges are empty?
