I would recommend carefully inspecting the entire paper pathway to make certain there isn't something obstructing the path. Other than that make sure the toner cartidges are securely in place and the access door closed properly.

Question
Does the CLP-620ND/XAA actually have a Multi-purpose tray?
The picture in the manual has the multi-purpose tray on the inside of the pull-down front panel. However, in the CLP-620ND/XAA, the duplexing unit occupies that position. Plus the front panel does not drop all the way down to the near-level position illustrated. Plus there is no evidence of the paper guides--I considered whether the duplexer pulled out to reveal an MP tray.
There is an undocumented flap on the front of Tray 1 -- you push a button to the left and it opens up. However, I strongly suspect that it is used simply for clearing paper jams or debris -- it lacks even the basic functionality of a single-sheet paper feeder.
Sounds like you're opening the entire front panel; the MP tray opens using the latch on the front panel. I missed it myself for a few minutes first time I looked at this model. ;)
To clarify my first response: pull DOWN on the ledge below the front latch to open the MP tray...the latch itself will open the entire front panel, as you found.
In the original document you need to rotate every other page 180 degrees. My document was in a pdf format. In the 'document' tab you go to 'rotate pages' and rotated the 'even' pages 180 degrees. I'm not sure how to rotate the pages in a Word document but I'm sure it can be done.
Good luck!

Flip on long edge instead of short edge - or vice-versa.
Printing from Mac and Linux alwasy give a Paper Jam Error
I can print from Windows 7 or XP just fine to this printer. However when we print from Mac or Linux, we get a paper jam error. However the document prints fine. Any ideas? Are there firmware or driver updates?
Like the printer which I just recently purchased. However, have two issues, one is the same as this.
I have the same thing. Mac OS 10.7 (Lion), driver 10.13.01. Happens to show up every time I print a page.
BTW, the print toner consumption is high due, apparently to the fact that the print is attempting to print in color even when a B&W Document is being printed(?). Is there a way to set the printer so that B&W docs use the Black toner only? I will post this issue separately as well.

We're getting the same error message (see attached screen shot), ever since the first day of installing the driver (we're running on all modern macs, both Lion 10.7.2 as well as Snow Leopard 10.6.8). The error message is there 100% of the time, but it actually prints and works just fine.
After trying rebooting many times, and reinstalling the drivers, I'm convinced it's just an error in the driver. Nothing to do about it, until Samsung comes up with an updated driver.
Hello, We are using this printer (CLP-620NP) at work and do not have an owner's manual available to reference. Our print jobs have not been going through and the message that comes up reads "Paper empty in the MP tray". What is the MP tray? There is paper in the tray that we can see. There is a slot at the bottom front of the printer that we were able to feed paper through one sheet at a time and retrieve partial previous print jobs. Is there a setting we need to change? Any other ideas? Thank you!
FYI you can access the manual at http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/CLP-620ND/XAA
The MP tray is the Multi-Purpose Tray; it's located above the standard tray. You can access it by pulling the latch on the front door of the printer. If you're getting a paper empty error for it, the default tray in your Windows printer settings is probably set to the MP Tray instead of Tray 1 (the one at the bottom of the printer). If you want a better view of where the MP Tray is located check the Machine Overview in the Introduction section in the manual. There is a picture there that makes it clear.
I am having issues with the Samsung CLP-620ND Printer
When we are using the printer it will print in lines, it is very pixelated, we have tried differnt printer toners and its still not working. The main Firmware version we have currently got on the printer is: V.2.01.45 .... i have had a look on the internet but I cannot find any similar issues... any help would be great thanks!!
If you are printing web graphics, they are not optimized for print. So that is why an image can appear pixelated.
One way you can check if the issue is related to it's resolution, is by scaling down the image and printing it to see if it's pixelated. If it prints ok at that size, then chances are it's a resolution issue and not the printer.
Also, have you tried printing another image?
What settings are you using under the printer dialog box? Make sure the print quality is set to "best" when printing photos.
You might want to also access the menu directly on the printer and see if there is a maintenance menu with a cleaning option.

Question
How do I print from XP via network?
Windows XP pc is connected to printer via netgear 8-port gigabit desktop switch. The PC doesn't see the printer on the network. Though green light shows up on printer side of network cable and switch side as well.

There are two devices for my printer in the Devices window: one says CLP-620ND and one says SECSEC00159947D168 What is this second device and why doesn't it appear in the Printers forlder for all machines connected to the printer?
I just purchased and printed with a clp-620nd printer. It prints in great color. Unfortunately, I very quickly ran out of toner.
I thought I had read online somewhere (not your site) that the original cartridges were the 2500/2000 copy size. However, I also read later (after I purchased it) that someone on your staff had told another person that the original cartridges were starter cartridges and were only good for 500/400 copies instead of the 2500/2000 copies. Is this true? Thanks.
