The above is accurate. If you have network options enabled you can use your web browser to access the printer stats and see exactly how many prints you got per cartridge so you can see exactly how your mileage is varying :)
Our CLP-315 just quit after purchasing a whole set of toner cartridges. Will our K409 cartridges work in our CLP-325w?

They are NOT.
That is EXACTLY what happened to my printer!!
I purchased the 325w after reading that the toner cartridges for the (CLP-315) were compatible with the 325w. But, they are not. The CLP 325w says to use the CLT- R407s. The cartridges for the 315 are the CLT-R409s. I also confirmed with Samsung Support that they are not compatible.
Good luck. Krista P.S. I must admit that I am tempted to try it anyway (since they fit), but I don't want to mess up the new printer. If you try this, would you please let me know how it works out? Thx.
P.S 2. If you hear of anyone else with our experience with the printer dying after installing/using new toner, would you please let me know. I think it may be the cause of our printers dying, and we might have some recourse.

No, K409 does not work in the CLP-325W. I purchased the CLP-325 about 4 months ago and knew that the K407 was the toner cartridge for this printer. But somewhere I read that the K409 was compatible so I purchased a combo pack of all 3 color toners in the K409 series as well as a 2 pack of black at the same time I bought the printer. I just now tried to get the black toner to work. It seems to fit the printer okay, but does nothing. I put the old toner cartridge in and it printed.
I thought K409 was the name for a K407 bundled in a "value pack". I was wrong and now I have 5 toner cartridges I can't use and a printer that is needing all 4 toner replaced.
All of the text and graphics on the brochure are printing out great, but the pictures are grainy and the ink smudges right off after it's printed. Why does it do this? I am using Laser paper.

Thank you for contacting Samsung. Please note that the picture won't be of photo quality, but the smudging shouldn't be occurring. Also, ensure you're using paper inside the right weight range: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/SupportOwnersFAQPopup.do?faq_id=FAQ00000181&fm_seq=349
Further ensure that you've cleaned your printer, as that can cause a smear: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber/popup/iframe/pop_troubleshooting_fr.jsp?idx=394676&modelname=CLP-325W
I want to change my default settings, but they won't stay when I change them on the printer settings in control panel. I go to the SyncThru Web Service and I have to log in to make changes, but there is no way to make a login for me to do that.

Question
Wireless setup completed successfully, but won't print
I've followed the instructions for the wireless setup. Infrastructure mode, unsecured router, Mac OSX. It completed successfully but when I try to print the test page, the SmartPanel says "USB Printer status is not available" and the MAC Print Queue says "Printer Offline".

I used the WPS or push button method to connect wirelessly to my router, then logged in to my router to see what IP had been given to the printer. Once I had that IP address I used the printer setup on the computer itself to define the IP for the printer port, apparently the setup CD was not going through all the steps to get a new IP that was in the range my router was using. Hope this helps.

Printer connected through WiFi is not available at all times when trying to print
When I want to print a document the printer does not print. Troubleshooting tips continue to pop up. I have assigned a static IP to the printer, but the printer goes off line. I have to shut down and restart the printer and press the WPS button to have it reconnect.

Question
Using DHCP wirelessly, CLP-325W won't wake up
When I first set it up wirelessly using DHCP, it printed. But after a while I guess it went into sleep mode. Then when I go to print, it won't wake up. I get a message that the printer is off line. I have to unplug the printer and plug it back in to get it to wake up. I have used a fixed IP address in the past, and never had a problem with it waking up. How do I get it to wake up when using a DHCP IP address wirelessly? Nothing else on my network has this problem.

Just spoke with Samsung Support about this. They said the problem might be with the 'fuser'. This is the thing that makes the ink adhere cleanly to the paper. If under warranty, might wanna send it to Samsung (but I think there's a fee for shipping). May also consider a local computer repair place (that's what the Samsung Rep told me). Good Luck.

Thank you for contacting Samsung. Please consult the Print Media Specifications section for your answer: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201112/20111222102855370/EN/en/english/specifications.htm
When Printing anything that has black in it, the page seems to have 2 or three areas on the page (straight lines going down the page) where it will not print black. Example, I printed a test page. In the test page there is a large colorful picture at the top of the page which looks normal and some writing throughout the page. The writing is all in black and you can see missing letters from where the ink didn't print. The missing areas are straight lines up and down the page.

Most script errors are associated with a browser session, not the printer, unless there's an issue with the software. Given that you're not able to print to two different printers, we suggest you try printing from another Internet browser. Most Windows users automatically user Internet Explorer and it is more prone to script errors than other browsers, so assuming you're using IE, you may try printing from Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. If neither one of these browsers is installed, download and install either one from the links below and try printing again from that browser.

http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
We also suggest you take a look at the troubleshooting guide for the CLP-325W.
If the issue persists, if you can provide any additional information that would help us better isolate the issue, please contact us using the link below.

Thank you for contacting Samsung.
We're sorry to hear you're having this issue. Based on what we've learned, the Dr. Printer software occasionally throws up server errors because the server is hosted outside of the U.S. Issues such as these usually occur when the connection times out. We recommend you try updating late at night or early in the morning when there would most likely be fewer users attempting to access the server.
Since this is a business model printer, we also recommend calling 1-866-SAM4BIZ for additional support. You can also find helpful troubleshooting guides, product support videos, FAQs and How-Tos and more via the link below.
