We have had a Samsung CLP-315 for almost a year now and this morning we turned it on and it cycled through its regular toner check and then started its mechanical startup which usually takes some 8 - 10 seconds but this time only took two. And then the red led came on.
We are using PCLinuxOS 2011 as an OS and the Linux drivers from Samsung.
we have had the printer for nearly a year. It has functioned properly up until three weeks ago when it stopped. We have checked for jammed paper..none. Toner catch bottle has been emptied. color toners have been filled with fresh cartridge, removed the drum, opened each compartment. nothing appears to be malfunctioning yet, turning it off and on it warms up and then the red light on the top corner goes on and it shuts down. Help?
I'm having difficulties printing because my printer won't pick up the paper that is in the tray. I've tried reinserting the tray multiple times and have added more paper, and taken more paper off. I feel like there might be some other issue? My printer is on a level surface so that shouldn't be an issue either. And I have shut off and restarted my printer numerous times.
Double printer entries when I right click on smart panel (Windows XP) CLP-315
I had to reinstall the CLP-315 printer driver and smart panel. Running Windows XP professional. Previously there was one entry each (one mono, one color) on the the smart panel when I right clicked it in the system tray. Now when the smart panel is running it has two entries for my color driver and two entries for the mono driver. If I select one or the other both identical entries get selected. I do not have duplicate printers showing up in the printer folder. Uninstalling driver or smart panel will not change it back to the way it was. Any help would be appreciated.
After replacing color cartridges, the red light indicator stays on. It will recycle when I Turn On green light comes on; then the red light. Reading the manual states that cartridge is not inserted; I have double check the install of cartridges. Still have the same outcome
faded look, ragged white spots all over photos. I printed photos a couple days ago that were excellent. This is a printer I've only had for 5 days. I have printed no more than a dozen small photos. What could be wrong? I removed, shook and reseated all cartridges. Didn't help.
