You must enable the scaling function, in your catalyst control center (has picture of a screen or TV) With a percentage value--- (%of scaling)--- move the slide control to ZERO! click apply, and OK, then reboot computer to save changes.
I went nuts trying to achive this result! When I finally hooked up my HDMI cable, and went back into Catalyst Control, under display's, and clicked on the properties screen, it opened up the scaling function! (Looks like a TV or monitor screen with a slide control, and % values at either end of the scale. Move slider to ZERO scaling! Watch your screen as you move the control slide, (to verify that your moving the slider, in the right direction! Screen will enlarge, before your very eye's! Don't forget to click Apply and OK! Then REBOOT to save your changes!
I have BX2450 and Radeon 5570 and am using HDMI. The Catalyst Control Center does not show the option for scaling and I have those blank areas. When I used VGA (analog) cable, the image filled the screen completely. Have done reboots. Perhaps I've got a wrong version of CCC?

Question
Monitors picture doesn't fill entire screen & your fix doesn't work.
My monitors picture doesn't fill the entire screen. I've followed your question and answer (below) and my resolution is already 1920x1080. Just to make sure I reset my resolution to a lower resolution then set it back to 1920x1080. It still doesn't fill the entire screen. How do I fix this?
"How can I make my Samsung bx2450 streach the full screen on windows 7?1answer" "Right-click anywhere on your desktop wallpaper. Choose the menu option "Screen resolution". In the window that opens there will be a line that says "Resolution". Click the drop down menu next to this and move the slider all the way up to 1920 x 1080. This should make your Windows desktop occupy the entire screen."

If you have an ATI Radeon video card and you've installed the Catalyst driver and you are connecting your monitor via HDMI, the default setting (who knows why) is to underscan the image. Open Catalyst Control Center (should be on your start menu list of programs or as an icon in your notification area). From the top left menu, select Desktops & Displays. In the bottom left corner, click the black arrow next to your monitor/TV and click Configure. Choose the Scaling Options tab and move the slider all the way to the right to 0%. The changes should take effect immediately while you are moving the slider.

Question
Is the Bx2450 prone to screen flickering and random flashing (turning off for a second then back on)?
My brand new BX2450 that I ordered on the 26th of November has only been hooked up for about 2 days, and already is starting to flicker ( I see lines periodically popping and running through the horizontal center of the screen) and briefly turn off and on. I am currently using an Nvidia Geforce GTX260 as my primary GFX card. Any suggestions as to how to fix this issue?

I have been using the BX2450 for about 2 months now and just a few weeks ago it started to flash off then on (only for about one second). I have a EVGA GTX 465 and I am running windows 7. I have updated all of my drivers and still the problem exists. I think the monitor may be faulty. I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. Has anyone else had this issue? Has anyone solved this issue?

I hope this will help. You don't touch the front of the monitor on this model. Touch underneath where everything is worded. So the touch sensor is actually underthe monitor and slightly to the back. I actually touch the back bottom edge to get mine to work.

Your computer is using overscan. If you are using ATI, open catalyst. open My digital Flat-Panels, select scaling options. Move slide to 0% overscan. I'll assume your not using nvidia since they default to the screen size.... I think

Yes. It's just a little stiff. Try holding down on the stand with one hand and griping the top of the monitor with your other and pulling up or down.

Question
Any idea why my BX2450 display is beginning to flicker and shift around?
Sometimes the display will flicker and shift, and also will sometimes also go dark for a second, then come back on and the display will be fine. It has happened several times already and I have the newest drivers for both the monitor and my graphics card. Any ideas? (I'm using the GTX260 as my GFX).

Question
A black spot appeared in the lower right corner of the display
I purchased this monitor in January, 2011. I really like the screen, big and the well-lit, just what I needed. But I'm concerned about this dark area that appeared. Where can I have it serviced in my area? thanks
