You have to change the resolution settings. Your board and or card are trying to apply settings that it just cant adjust to. Right click on main screen go to screen resolution and just bring it down slightly.

answer 2
If you are on macbook pro, try to switch from HDMI cable to VGA cable. VGA cable gives option for 1920*1080, 60Hz resolution. Select it and you will see your blur/out of ink fonts are corrected.

Question
Icons so large after installing driver
we are usign this monitor under VGA connected to a HP Laptop 2530p but after installing drivers recommended it is not possible to see the icons in 100%, they ever appears as 125% range.
Do not use the VGA port, instead use the HDMI ports. Also, using a higher grade GPU (graphics processing unit) / Video Card can greatly increase the resolution by a substantial bit.

Question
Does the BX2231 support HDMI output coming from the PS3?
You will need to go into the menu on your monitor and then scrolled down to setup & reset. Select it the it will go into another selection screen and there you will see the language go there and there is were you will be able to change to the change on your monitor.
Is there anyway to take this monitor apart safely?
Somehow, an ant crawled into it, and it is walking across the inside of my screen. It is incredibly difficult to concentrate with it there, and I want to get it out. Any thoughts?

Believe it or not, the ant is on the inside of the screen
By now, the ant has probably met his demise (or gotten a really good tan!), and shouldn't be troubling you further.
If he has remained on the opposite side of the panel and met his final hour already, you might try gently tapping the panel. If there is still parts stuck to the panel left over, you may want to have the unit professionally serviced. I don't recommend opening up the panel.
It does take a little navigating to find. Go to the Registratioin Page and select "OFFICE" as the Product Group. Select "Monitors", Select "Business" then you can locate it in the model pull down.
It more likely depends on the DVD. If the DVD is "full screen," that is as it is, and you can play with the HDTV and or player settings to expand it, though it will likely distort.
If the film on the DVD is not formatted for 16X9, it is properly not going to fill the entire screen: there will be black borders on each side and or on top and bottom. All of that is normal.
No, but I do recommand it so you can be up to date with any updates they may come out with on this monitor. If not you will not know if they update the drive for it or have ant tech issues. It will also help with warranty issues too.
To change the language back to English. You would have to navigate down to the fourth icon on the menu. It would be the one that has a "wheel-like" icon. Language would be the second item down on the right hand menu. English should be the first item on that drop down menu

Question
How do I turn on my BX2231 monitor on? EVerything is connected and plugged in but no power is coming on.
The power button on this monitor happens to been hidden under the bottom righthand side of the screen. This bottom is not the old style push bottom so don't look for that just take and make sure everything is plugged in and the CPU is powered up the run your finger under right corner of the monitor. Then you will see a blue light flash letting you know the monitor is powering up.
I need a part too the bx2231 monitor. Power cable.
Hi, my name is Wyatt and I have been broken into and the thieves stole my Xbox and the power cable to my monitor, but not the monitor. So I am here too ask if there is anyway that I can buy a DC 12v/14v power cable (that is what kind of voltage it says on the back of the monitor). I have looked around for one that fits the hole in the back of the monitor ,where the previous one went, and was unsuccessful. This is my last resort, so please help me.
You can go to a used computer store and they should have some power cables there that will work. I had to replace my once and that how I find one for a low price.
We researched this issue in the product manual and found the following answer.
To set the resolution to the optimal resolution:
When the PC is turned off, connect the product and the PC and turn the power on. Right-click over the Desktop and select 'Properties' from the pop-up menu. In the 'Settings' tab, set the resolution to the optimal resolution.

Question
Settings.
Please, let me know what is the exact configuration to set the monitor to the following:
a) Color temperature= 6500 (sRGB) b) Gamma= 2.2
It's impossible to know the equivalence among the different modes shown in the Menu (for example, what gamma value is Mode 2?, or, what color temperature is Normal?).
I thank you in advance and look forward to hearing from you asap. Regards, JR Diaz
