Question

My Droid Charge does not respond correctly to being docked. How can I resolve this?

I have 2 multimedia docks. 1 works correctly. The other one causes the phone to act improperly. It loads the dock app then exits. Then the screen orientation turns repeatedly. The screen will turn off and on and prompt me to enter the unlock pattern in both orientations then back to the dock app, etc. It simply won't stop jumping from screen to screen. Sometimes the volume buttons work, sometimes not. It is as if there is a loose connection between the dock and the phone and the phone does not know how to react. How can I resolve this?

I know it will not hurt the device but will it hurt the battery to leave it in the charger with the charger plugged in after full charge?

Some batteries will degrade if left on trickle after full charge. Lets say I left the spare battery in the BECR-D994BEG at all times until needed and the BECR-D994BEG was plugged in all the time. Would this harm the battery?

Question

Is there an issue with the dock station weather app?

Why is the AccuWeather app not functioning correctly on the docking station? It shows my cities name but the conditions icon and the temp are wrong and never change.

Question

Will it hurt the battery to leave the desktop dock plugged in after the charge is complete?

I want to use it as an alrm clock. It will finish charging after a couple of hours. Do I have to unplug it as it will be in the middle of the night? Also the spare battery, can I just leave it in the dock or do I have to take it out if the dock is plugged in if it has been fully charged?

Desk Home Issues

I love the Droid Charge, but I am not happy with the software provided for the desk dock. The "Desk Home" screen does not allow customization, and the "Exit" button takes you to the last screen open, not the "normal" home screen. Is there any way to disable or otherwise customize the "Desk Home" screen?

Question

Charger led blinking yellow

I noticed that when charging a battery, sometimes after the solid red led would change to a blinking yellow light. What would that indicate? I would usually remove the battery and/or unplug & plug the AC power back in to have it charge normally, until the led turns green. The battery being charged is not in the phone, but charged by itself on the charger.

Why won't spare battery charge while phone is docked?

My daughter's Droid i510 dock won't charge the spare battery if the phone is docked. My wife's Droid i510 dock will charge spare battery after phone is fully charged. We have swapped docks so there must be some difference in the setup of my daughter's phone. Any suggestions?

Is anyone else having a problem with the (OEM) Batteries & the Desk top Dock?

I currently have (2) Desk top Docks and (4) OEM Batteries for my Droid Charge. The Desk top Dock worked great for a few weeks. I would keep a spare battery in the dock and swap as needed. I had one for Home and one for the office. Now both docks will not charge the batteries in the spare battery compartment. This could be a battery problem, although the Phone, Batteries and Desk top Docks are less than 3 months old. Does any one have any suggestions?

I have the ECR-D994BEGSTA Charge Dock. How do I obtain a download of the user manual?

I'm looking to understand the correct operation of the charging LED on the dock both when I have my phone and extra battery charging and when I have the extra battery alone in the charging compartment.
