Question

Do I need to update my Blu-ray Player?

The Disney Blue-ray disc TRON and some others will not play on my player. I have read the Toubleshoot page and none apply except, maybe, "The features or action cannot be completed at this time becaause: #1. The Blu-ray Disc/DVD's softgwre restricts it. or #2. The Blu-ray Disc/DVD's software doesn't support the feature." This particular disc has an ABC in the region area so I'm assuming that means it will play in all 3 regions. Do I have to and if so , What do I have to do to update the software? If this is the reason it won't play?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this problem playing your Blu-ray title.

If new disc was purchased in the USA from a authorized retailer, is most likely going to be the proper region code. Hopefully, we can deduct that this is not the case in your particular situation.

To update the firmware on your Blu-ray player, please download the update file and corresponding instructions on the following link:

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/d... (Click FIRMWARE).

You'll be able to review the instructions prior to loading the latest firmware on your Blu-ray player.

If you need further assistance, please reach out to the Samsung customer service center at 800-SAMSUNG.

By launching the Pandora app, you should be prompted to enter a series of numbers and letters into the www.Pandora.com/activate website. Once you connect to your account with your Blu-ray player, you should be able to stream music wirelessly to your Blu-ray player.

If you need further assistance, you can chat live with one of our online technicians. Please reach out to the Samsung customer service center at the following link:

There are a couple of variables that may be keeping your unit from connecting to the Internet.

It would be ideal to connect directly to your wireless access point, or router, with an ethernet cable. In most cases, hooking the unit up and powering on the Blu-ray player will usually give you a successful connect.

Some routers have an automatic firewall built in, and sometimes this can present a problem when trying to stream or connect. While I can't recommend disabling your firewall, you may want to contact the manufacturer of your router to see if there are options for troubleshooting that they may be able to help with.

There are two ways to connect your player to the Internet.

If you have a wired connection, and your router is close by to the TV, you can connected directly with an Ethernet cable.

If you have a wireless router, and would like to stream wirelessly from your router to your Blu-ray player, you can purchase the WIS09ABGN Samsung LinkStick adapter which will allow you to connect your player to your router.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a problem with your new player.

I'm not familiar with the term, "Bungle", or the ability to connect your Blu-ray player to your computer. The Blu-ray player is designed to be connected directly to the television using a wired connection.

For streaming content wirelessly to your Blu-ray player, you would need the Samsung WIS09ABGN LinkStick (Dongle? If that's the term, then it pertains to the LinkStick).

The router would be compatible with the Samsung LinkStick, however connectivity to the network is supported on a limited basis by Samsung. If you need to contact the Samsung customer service center for setting up your system, please reach out to to them directly at 800-SAMSUNG.

It's difficult to determine if third-party devices will be compatible.

If you're having a problem with the device in your network, it may be best to contact the manufacturer of your adapters to see if they can stream properly for this particular application.

If it works with a wired connection or with the Samsung wireless WIS09ABGN LinkStick, then the problem may be with the adapter itself.
