No, but the WIS09ABGN will be compatible with your UN46C6400 television.

If you're looking to update your BD-P1500, you'll need to use the USB or CD method if you don't have a wired Ethernet connection going to your Blu-Ray player.

You could download the .ISO file from the www.Samsung.com/support website, which will create a CD image disc that you can place in the tray and update using a CD.

The link for downloading the firmware on CD, and the instructions, can be found here:

Download the file from the Internet to your desktop.

Then with the file on your desktop, launch the program. It will unzip and install the files directly onto a directory - choose your freshly formatted USB drive.

If you still continue to experience difficulty, I would recommend contacting the Samsung customer service center, and speaking to one of our chat agents at the following link:

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/

Or you can also call them directly at 1-800-SAMSUNG.

We appreciate your support of Samsung products, and we look forward to assisting you.

External files and BD-Live content may be stored on a separate USB drive. I recommend inserting a freshly formatted USB drive into the USB port.

Since there is no onboard memory for this specific model, the downloaded content will have to be stored on a thumb drive. Inserting a freshly formatted thumb drive allows a place for the download to be stored until it's fully downloaded and installed on the player.

Instructions for updating your Blu-ray player can be found in the owner's manual on Page 28.

Connecting the Ethernet port of your Blu-ray player to your router or modem is one way, and downloading the firmware to make a burnable CD or USB thumb drive is available at the following link:

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/d... (Select Firmware, and be sure to download the instructions for whichever method you plan to use along with the download file).

If you need further assistance, please reach out to the Samsung customer service center at 800-SAMSUNG.

The downloaded zip file is placed in a subfolder when you extract it. The .ruf file must be in the root directory of the usb drive to be recognized by the blue ray player. It should start pretty soon after inserting the usb drive.

mine did that as well, I even left it running over night and it never started. What I did was plug an ethernet cable directly from my router into the back of the bluray player, took the disc out and hit the "menu" button. you have to go into network setup and turn network capabilities on through there. Once you have turned that on, go into "system setup" and at the bottom there is an option for "system update" it will start automatically. Everything has worked for me after that.

Question

How can I get my Blu Ray Player to play DVDS again?

I've owned my Samsung BD-P100 Blu Ray Player for 10 months. Until a week ago it played DVDs very well. All of a sudden, it no longer plays them, giving a message of "no disc". It still plays Blu Rays well. At my request you sent me a BD-P1500 Firmware Upgrade disc. I followed the instructions carefully twice. The unit gives me the same message "no disc" and will not install it. What should I do?
